Making A Paid Product Free - Your Thoughts

Hi Warriors

Very quick question so I can get some opinions.

If you purchased a product for $10 within the last 3 months, and then found out it was being re-launched for the price of $0... how would you feel?

I want to do just this so I can collect more leads to funnel into a new membership I'm launching, but I don't want to upset the hundreds of buyers I've accumulated over the past few months.

So, let me know whether it would upset you to find that a product you'd paid for (even though a fairly minimal sum) were to be made freely available.

Thanks,
James

This as similar as a shirt costing $80.00 during season and then $30 on clearance after season.

It's your product thus your decision to do what you want with it.

It's done all the time. People offer products that were once sold as a free bonus or
an incentive to opt in or try a new membership every day.

I can't imagine that anybody who paid $10 would be upset.

If you are really worried about it, you could offer some extra bonus for any of your
      previous buyers.

Totally agree with everyone, especially offering your previous buyers something... It builds your credibility and makes your buyers feel good which hopefully leads to them buying the next thing you're selling

I wouldn't be particularly bothered but if it was within your money back guarantee period I would request a refund.

    Cheers,

I expect prices to drop over time. If the price is already low on an info product, I expect it to turn into a bonus or freebie eventually.

  • I often watch WSO's that I want for a while. I have been able to get a few of them for FREE in the Classified Section. I have to wait, but I get it for free.

I would have no problem buying a product and then finding that it was being offered free down the road.

Most people won't really care...if they do, perhaps you can offer them a bonus product of some sort that the other people didn't get.

A lot of the gurus will give away information that "has only been released to my $10,000 a year super-elite customers" and make themselves look better by doing so...and then they might funnel you into a new upcoming launch or they just might get you on their list.
