Right O, here I go. Hi Warriors, I have a site that I need to drive traffic too, and monetize. It's a relatively greedless endeavor, as the platform is geared for taking on editors / contributors to provide their own unique and original content. The site is focused on the paranormal and will offer podcasts, videos, articles, etc... All original and made by the approved contributors. The goal is to grow the sites traffic through the wide diversity of contributors and at the same time, split the future revenues earned from.... your suggestions here... amongst the contributors.

So that's the basic overview of the site, and I'd be interested to get your takes on the model, how we can gain traffic, how we can monetize, and if you're interested in contributing please reach out...

I don't know the legality of dropping the websites info here, as again I'm a noob, so I'll hold off until someone tenured says I can without getting my post nuked... Lol, its not making any revenues yet anyway, which is why I'm asking. Thank you marketing gods.

    OK, I was waiting to see if anyone else was going to drop their 2 cents in here for you, but I guess I will start. I will just run down the list.

    1) As far as providing compensation to contributors, I think is Honorable, but unnecessary. Most people would Guest Post for the backlink, as long as you have a do follow site. You may want to compensate a few, but if you get too many hands in the kitty, it will be hard for you to make money yourself. You have to look at your expenses, ect. before considering something like that.

    2) Monetization: Easy enough to do. Go to Clickbank & search under their Paranormal Section. Should be able to find a few products worth promoting. You may also want to look into the newly released CB Powerplug (blatant reference for George, no affiliate link). It can help you find clickbank products & make posts for them. Also, do a Google Search for Paranormal Affiliate Programs, should be able to find some.

    3) Traffic: To start do a facebook search for Paranormal, then clicks the Groups Results. Join as many as you can. Once joined & your site has started producing content, post links to articles in these groups. That can get you started with free traffic, & get people sharing your content with their friends. I know this works. I just started a blog & published my first post on 8/7/15. My traffic yesterday was 144 & for the month 8246.

    And I always neglect to say this, because for me it is second nature. Start building a list right away that you can promote to. A lot of the clickbank vendors have free reports you can give away to promote that item. But it is also a great list builder. Your list WILL be your #1 Asset moving forward.

    I could type on here for over an hour and still be typing...but I have money to make and check on
    Want to start by saying keep at your idea! All ideas start from the beginning and it's the follow through that makes all the difference long term.
    Executive Summary:
    1. Do keyword research and select your keyword aggregate to optimize for Google's keyword traffic i.e. this help determine the words to use as your content on the site
    2. Optimize the structure of your site for Google's Spiders. Look into it on your own or another member may comment but I'm not going to type up all of it. Also having your site be mobile friendly will be a big boon for you.
    So 1. optimize keyword content and 2. optimize site/page structure
    3. Groups as was mentioned and detailed out is a great way to get free and decent/viral traffic
    4. Do whatever you can in structuring to get everyone on a mailing list that you mail regularly and promote regularly
    5. For monetization/products just go to Clickbank as was already said. Can use ad networks also but that alone will cause you to miss out on a huge chunk of the "value capture per visitor"
