What to SELL as an upsell to an email marketing manual???

Guys and gals, happy weekend!

I have this manual on email marketing that is selling like crazy.

My problems is folks are finding it extremely helpful and resourceful but I don't know what other thing to sell as upsell that complements the original product while offering massive value as well to my clients.

What do you think I should offer as an upsell?

Seriously, your input will be very much appreciated, no matter what.

Thank you!

Louis

I would be glad to think for you something if I could get a copy, so I can help my mind think and act like a "client" solving a personal problem of mine.

It's really hard for us to tell you something that will complement your product without knowing what the product is about. Hope you understand.

For example, in my product I have added a 2nd guide that adds a twist of mine. It's not the missing part of the chain (the main guide works fine by itself) it's just something extra, an "expansion" pack.

    Hi Louis,

    Easy!

You have a guide on email marketing right?

Well an upsell where you personally help them set it up for their site and niche would be good.

Or an upsell where you will write them up 4 or 5 emails to use with their product or service.

You could offer both as upsells or one as an upsell and one as backend,

    All the best,

Oh man, this is your perfect opportunity!

I would create a demonstration of everything you're teaching and sell it for a minimum of $97.

Forget the how-to Aweber tutorials, there's already too much of that stuff. Give people something awesome by showing them how to build a list, from scratch. Show examples of how you write the emails and the responses you get.

Try giving a behind the scenes look at what you do.

I bet people would really love to see something like this.

    Hi Louis

    Congrats on your successful product.

    Did you write it yourself?

If so, you can offer forum coaching, where, for a sign up fee (or monthly), they become members of your VIP coaching forum where they have access to you to answer all of their email marketing questions.

    These work well

    Hope that helps.

    All the best

    Trevor

Perhaps a video course step by step on how to setup squeeze pages and autoresponders?

Or some email autoresponder messages for the IM and affiliate marketing niche.

Or maybe a service to help them setup their email marketing funnel

You should offer them examples of your own email marketing templates that they can customize and use as their own. This would dramatically shorten the learning curve for them.

Unfortunately, all the suggestions so far assume that the OP has some knowledge, enough to create follow-up products. That may not be the case.

Remember, he said he "had" an email manual that was selling well, not that he created one.

        John,
He doesn't have to create follow up products. He can promote affiliate Products and there are some really quality products that are complimentary to a basic Email Marketing or List Building course.

Such as Email copy courses, Subject Lines, Email hacks, Courses on how to get better Open Rates and Conversions , Courses on how to develop your Story Telling skills etc..etc..

The only reason I bring this up is I do promote some wonderful affiliate products within these particular areas

Sure, it is most effective if he has expertise in these particular areas. But it is not necessary if he simply acts as a 'middleman' bringing the Seller of the Product and the buyer together...and then taking a commission for his troubles

Of course within his emails he needs to be totally transparent about all this to his Subscribers

Robert, maybe I misread things. It's been known to happen.

When I replied, I had a perception of people recommending coaching/mentoring or creating more advanced courses, which isn't likely to be useful to someone who acquired a manual and is reselling it.

Affiliate products are a serious possibility, assuming the OP has the knowledge/experience to tell worthwhile products from the dross that seems to permeate the IM space.

        Spot on!

That's why I asked if it was his own.

Get a course created and sell it as a drip feed upsell, or use something like moodle.

Did you write the product yourself or was it ghost written? If email marketing is something you have a lot of personal expertise in, personal coaching and consultation is an excellent upsell for a couple of reasons:

    1) It requires very little upfront time investment. If you already have the knowledge to advise and coach in an area, your upsell page/pitch is the only barrier to making those sales (no need to create a whole new product, etc.).

    2) You can price high, convert low, and still make a killing. Coaching is one of those things that can be priced at a premium and attract only your most interested, serious customers. This isn't a bad thing, because you can make just as much money dealing with a couple superfans/customers as you would had you put in the effort to sell 50 lower priced upsells.
