NameCheap follows the rest, ups prices

Just heard from NameCheap that they're upping domain registrations to 9.69 (currently 9.29) as of Oct. 1.

The usual "we have to do it" email. May not seem like much, but it adds up when you have a large number of domains.

Be well, live well, die last.

Well, if Verisign is increasing the price they charge registrars by 7%, what is Namecheap supposed to do? Eat the increase?

If you're domains aren't profitable enough to cover such a small price increase, maybe you should consider dumping them.

Yeah, I just got my email from them as well. But when you look at the price
increase, it's really not very much at all.

And like Mike said, if your domains are costing you that much money and
you can't afford them, maybe it's time to look at what you have and see
      if they're worth keeping.

I have 7 domains. Each one of them, with the exception of Diceology, earns
me thousands of dollars a year. So an increase like this isn't going to bother
      me in the least.

It's all about sound business management.

It's only 40 cents! Unless you have like 5,000 domains I don't see the big deal.

    Petrol goes up
    Groceries goes up
    Electricity goes up

Domains have gone up a little
