So if you are thinking about starting your own Amazon Affiliation Business then the first thing that you should care about is selecting product. A lot of people do not understand that selecting product is vital and your success depends at least 50% on selecting the right product. As an experienced Amazon Affiliate Marketer, i am going to give you some tips which will help you to make sure that you don't fall into traps. Let's start.

1st Rule: Don't be Biased

I love gaming consoles. I am a die hard PlayStation fan. So, when i decided to go for Amazon Affiliation, my eye was on gaming consoles. Obviously, right? I know about them a lot and i can write amazing content too. Guess what? If i had gone with that niche, it would have been a disaster. Never ever be biased about a product or a niche only because you like it or you know enough about it. The chance is 99.9% that it is a highly competitive niche and you will not be able to make it.

2nd Rule: Keep Your Target Small

A student of mine was saying in Udemy, look Khalid, i found a keyword with 45,000 monthly search in USA. I am going to be rich. And i said to him, wake up. Choose a keyword that has around 1000 searches per month in USA. If you are targeting a big keyword as a new marketer, there is no way that you will be able to rank your website. I am experienced enough but even today i don't go above 5000.

3rd Rule: Go for High Priced Products

If you review a product which is priced around $20 then you will receive around $1.2 from each sale which is nothing. Try to select a product which has a value of at least $100 and the more, the better.

4th Rule: Check the First Page Competition

Apart from terms like KC, KD, PA and etc, you have to manually check all the competitions of the first page. Let's use an example. Let's say i am thinking about promoting baby strollers. Now, if i search baby stroller in Google, i will find 10 results. Now, i will have to check whether these are strong results or weak.

• Authority Sites

Example of Weak Results:

• Youtube Video
• Forums
• Sites like Ezine, eHow and etc.

5th Rule: Choose Quality Products

Never choose a product that has poor reviews or ratings in Amazon. In general, anything below 3.5/5.00 is poor in Amazon and you should carefully check the rating and review before you select the niche.
