Do you have expertise someone will pay you for?

Do you have the skills to solve a problem for someone that they will pay you to fix--because leaving it unsolved is more painful than getting you to fix it?

Do you have the ability to get in front of interested people who you can transform into buyers?

If you answered "No" to any of these questions, then it's obvious where your doubt is coming from.

      This ^^^^

You don't even have to create your own products. You can sell things as an affiliate. There are thousands of physical products at Amazon and many other sites. You can sell digital products from Clickbank, JVZoo, etc.

Go look for actual product searches at the Google Keyword Planner and see how many thousands of people are searching for them each month. Those people are buying stuff from someone, right?

Look at problem solving questions, particularly in the health, wealth, vanity, hobby markets, etc. As Jason said, these are people who have a problem that they're willing to pay to resolve because leaving it unsolved is more painful than paying you to fix it.

A very wise and successful marketer, Marlon Sanders, once said something that's stuck with me for years. "Find out where people are already spending money and then throw yourself in its path."

Just maintain the enthusiasm and try to find ways through what you already know. It is easy to loose motivation, but keep it up.

Some skepticism is good. It keeps you form buying $5000 packages that promise they will do everything for you. Some of them might even work but not for a beginner.
Too much skepticism will put a black cloud over everything you do. Ever hear a coach at half time telling his players that they are probably going to lose?
Other than doing on-line gigs, an online marketing program only works if it attracts viewers, persuades them you have something worthwhile for them and available to them at a price they can afford, and then makes it easy to buy. This eliminates most sites because their traffic is too low, their bad grammar and spelling errors make you distrust them, their copy is not persuasive and they make it too difficult to buy.
It can take a while to master traffic, presentation, site speed, copywriting etc.
Until all the pieces work together every site will fail to make money.

I wonder, if you are so skeptical, why you are selling stuff that promises internet income?

Is it scam? If it doesn't work then why advertise it?

If some guy came along that was hurting for money, would your system work for them? If so, then why won't it work for you? If it doesn't work, then please take it down until you are not so skeptical and you have experience in doing what you promise.

It's all about providing value. You provide value to someone and they pay you for it.

Running an online business is similar to having an offline one. Only the medium is different. The principles are the same.

What value can you offer to people which they would be willing and glad to pay you for?

    Cheers,

    C.G.

Yes been earning money online every month since 2001.

It's got a lot harder these days, although on the flip side if you have a good idea you can make more money than ever before.

Keep at it, It's easy to give into doubt when starting out, but that's what separates those who see success and those who don't.

Some people go a lot longer without making their first dollar, keep faith in yourself, you've made it three months and you've reached the best place to learn anything you need to know.

      Hey Terence,
There seems to be some confusion here.

In your Sig the Site is titled "EasyPreneur- Making digital Entrepreneurship Easy "

And your video optin on that page goes on to talk about "making easy money while you sleep on auto pilot .And creating sites overnight that rake in the money"

But yet you come in here with the Mind of a skeptic.

See the hypocrisy and disconnect here

Lot of the easy money has gone. I've had to give up and get creative on some old ways I used to make money because the old ways just stopped working. I've noticed that Adwords prices have gone through the roof recently, probably because SEO is just getting harder and harder.

Forget your passive income dreams online, I have to work consistently just to keep on top.

The best advice I can give anyone asking this question:

View it as building a business, not making money online.

Seriously, the best way to approach the IM world is to think about building a brand. So let's say your goal right now was something like "promote this iguana cage as an affiliate."

Now, reframe that as "create a brand/site/persona that becomes an authority on all things iguana, of which promoting cages is just one profitable part."

    Doing this accomplishes two things:

First, it makes it so that you're creating a real business with the chance to be viewed as an expert by providing great content and real value.

Second, it makes it so that your range of potential monetization streams is way more broad. Now, instead of just focusing on selling one iguana cage model and getting a commission, you can promote 10 different cages based on the needs of your readers, or you could promote different iguana care products, or you could create and sell a beginner's guide on caring for iguanas, or you could create a monthly "bundle" box where your readers pay you a monthly subscription to get sent a crate of neat iguana habitat accessories (which, because you're an authority now, pet stores are willing to give you for free or heavily discounted prices just to be included in your promotion).

Pretty soon, you're the iguana king. Or the king of some other market you're passionate about.

In any event, it's about moving from "niche" to "market," it's about turning "work from home" into "my own startup business." Think about tackling the methods of making money online in terms of what kind of business you could build that encompasses those methods, rather than seeing them as the end step of your journey to an income.

Best of luck, now get out there and build one heck of a cool business (and send us a message about it when you're making six figures per month ).

    Hey Terence,

I definitely can't give you a success story at the moment, because I don't have one. What I can tell you is that I have been at this IM thingy almost as long as you have been, that is around 3 months and I haven't earned a single dime yet, so you might find my story a bit coherent.

It's really easy to get frustrated and quit man, I know that feeling. But you need something to drive you everyday. For me it's to make myself independent(I quit my job for it like many others), work on my own terms, earn loads of money, have a great lifestyle, and most importantly BREAK THE MYTH OF MAKING MONEY ONLINE.

And once I do that, and only after I do it am I going to teach others to do the same. Till that moment I am going to keep trying. In these 3 months, I might have failed miserably but I know that has only made me better. Ironically this is my first post on the warrior forum, and I am feeling low today. But somehow your post makes me alive again. So man, you never know what's going to give you hope and motivation.

There is making money by selling a product or service people want and then there are "internet marketing guru's" aka snake oil salesmen that make money off of people who don't really know what they are doing. Don't bother with all this "I make $4503 a month in my underware from the comfort of my own home and you can too!". You will just lose your money.

Yes, that actually is true. And as someone mentioned earlier that being a little skeptical can be of help to you as you would not easily buy such stuff. I am a guy like that too, but it's important to invest money where it's required.

There is enough free information online that can help you understand how money can be made online, it's just the matter of understanding the fundamentals. I am getting there slowly, hope I can get a breakthrough in the near future.

It's okay to be skeptical as long as you use your skepticism to find answers to key questions getting in the way of you making money.

Sadly, too many people allow their skepticism to turn into corrosive doubt which UNDERMINES their success.

Think of it this way: if you take a shot at a basketball rim thinking the ball won't go in, the ball will probably miss the rim.

    Get it?

Kinda. Just need the right tools. I feel like it's important to find a niche and skill that you'll be good at with the proper demand (just like anything else).
Nowadays everything is online. Social media, the news, even stores. So I think there's so many methods of making money out there that's technical, that in the end it's all about your confidence in domain knowledge. That being some of that domain knowledge will be in tech. So maybe pick up a book? I know I'm planning on doing so.

Really depends on what you do as far as marketing is concerned. I would sell services + marketing in order to grow my invoice to a larger amount. What does this mean??

Sell a new Facebook to a company showing how you can create a custom cover/custom avatar/ configure some apps to appear on their front page (instagram, website link), enter 5-10 status updates, fill out their entire profile and run $20.00 worth of targeted ads (audience) for them...

I PROMISE THEY WILL PAY AND LOVE YOU!!

Heck, I'm skeptical every day!! That is normal when you don';t know what you are doing. When you are still learning.

So many methods for making money online. I should know. Been through a ton of them.

It is not as simple nor easy based on their initial ad to you. It's when you get into it that course that you find it's a long process with so many damn things to learn. The terminology alone could discourage you. The part that pissed me all the time is "You gotta take action. If you don't take action, you will fail." Should have known. It's like all of the weight loss programs. Fast, easy. but you will have to do 100 actions for 7 minutes!"

I am ranting, but I believed that there is a way to do it. So I opted to find a one-on-one coach that could teach me the fundamentals of IM.

Hell, even with a coach, I made a major mistake last night that cost me 200 Solo Ad Clicks! Got in touch with my coach and he is calm and assures me that you will make mistakes. Let's fix it and move on. Priceless.

I am going to stick to this! I am committed

Some great advice and insights through this thread. My experience of online marketing has not been positive, nor has been online trading. The last thing I tried was binary options with Banc de Binary and consequently was totally ripped off. I am just about over it. Would have been better to put all the money into some physical property in a major city. There are too many dishonest people on the internet, scammers out to bleed you dry.

Change what you sell, how you're selling it, and why you're selling it. This "make money instantly" stuff as a newbie isn't your forte. Honestly you might be better off selling porn, and learn gradually how to do real marketing online that way.

In 2008 I sold a blue-sky website I made for enough money to well support me for quite a few years.
