the best way to do it is find someone who will keep you accountable.
once you find that person to keep you accountable, offer to pay them $X if you don't finish your work by a certain time.

Use a site like stickK to keep yourself honest.

The thought of losing money will keep you motivated to stay on task.

Nice idea, however, it may be cheaper to just hire a mentor.

A good baby sitter would be cheaper than a mentor.

If you need to be motivated you may be doing the wrong thing. THe people that do what they love just can't wait to do it. The idea of doing other things irritates them. Find what you love and turn it into a business that way you will never need motivating.

Motivation? You want motivation? Here is some...

You want to work at Wal-Mart? Do you want to work at Burger King? Okay.. most people can find better jobs but honestly and seriously the only real way to work from home or own any type of "HOME BIZ" is the internet. The only motivation I ever need is to call a friend up who works for the real world and hear him complain about the corp drama and the traffic along with waking up everyday and getting their on time.. that is enough motivation for me. I am just saying

    Exactly...

    1. Wake up with a BIG WHY each day -- what pain do you want to avoid and pleasure MUST you substitute in your life that underlies why you HAVE to succeed with your business. It sounds cliche, but really this is 90% of winning at anything - being driven.

    2. Have a big accomplishment in mind at a point in the not-to-distant future - say by the end of next year.

    3. Work backward, what do you need to have each quarter in order to achieve your bigger plan - what will it take to get there? Think in terms of leads, sales and profit

    4. What are the MOST important things you need to work on today, tomorrow, this week to achieve the intermediate goals by month, quarter and year?

Now, each day you wake up, you make SURE you spend time on those, and that you make progress

I do find, for myself, that meditation is important first thing in the AM - it helps me settle my mind and more important, learn to control my mind, bringing it back into focus quicker so distractions are less impactful on my day

So are you saying the "HOME BIZ" I had before the Internet existed was...an illusion?

That's embarrassing...I spent all the money.

There are many ways to make money on the web. Building a website, getting content, and selling can take alot of time and effort. Most of my students will actively work on other quick income streams to get some money coming in. That seems to be the biggest mood booster to anybody.....Money. So if you can monetize anything right now, it makes the drudgery of the website more bearable. If you need ideas or help to monetize some stuff now, let me know.

I guess the problem is, i am approaching the 12 hour point of work. i achieved the what i set out to do today and now the next part on the list is rather large.
I also need to create some content/ product reviews. Im just struggling to determine what route to take my website.
For those who haven't seen it yet, its a golf related website.
I started it with the rookie mistake and tried to do everything golf. I then realised that i didn't have an army of writers behind me and i needed to narrow down the options of the website.

I needed to have more of a focus on conversions and generating sales.
So today i did all the web design changes, Changed my opt in to try and incite more emails to my list.
I'm now at the stage of adding more content that will convert to profit.
This is where im struggling, terms like "golf games" "Crazy golf" & "golf travel" get a lot of monthly searches with low competition. However, i'm still unsure what angle to take the website.
Should i go done the novelty golfer route or the golf stag dos, maybe future golf technology maybe even the "golf stag do in Vegas route and try to sell the flights also".
My mind is in a jumble right now of which way to go.

Unfortunately, i have a lot of other work to do like add emails to my mailchimp account for my list. I currently only have 3 emails. not good i know, but without knowing my direction for the website, i can't create the emails.

I then need to work on the traffic and the ads, which i could do now to start building the list, however would this be better again once i know the direction of the website so that i get better leads.
