I live in the UK. Will Amazon.com pay by bank transfer into a UK business account?

Thanks

Yes. As long as you're in UK and use Amazon login and services from UK, Amazon would pay through electronic transfer to your UK account. Note that it may take up to 5 days after Amazon's disbursement for you to receive the payment in your account.

No, amazon.com only pays by transfer for U.S. accounts. Outside the U.S. they will pay by check or gift card.

I think the first reply was referring to amazon.co.uk.

I find this surprising for a large international company. I would have thought that bank transfer would have been cheaper and less problematic. I represent other US companies who do pay by bank transfer. I know that UK based Kindle authors get paid by bank transfer so the means are there.

Yeah, you would think but according to Amazon it is expensive to transfer funds out of the U.S.

    Are there any restrictions?
If your bank or financial institution is not located within the United States, you are not eligible for Direct Deposit of your payments to your account. In addition, your bank must have a routing number.

Why must my financial institution be in the United States?
Amazon.com can only disburse payments using US dollars, and the systems we use are only set up to handle payments within the United States. Please note that the cost to transfer funds outside of the United States is prohibitively expensive at this time.

I'm in the UK & Amazon.com send me a cheque (unfortunately not many of them!!). You can't pay a dollars cheque into your bank account - take it into your bank, fill in the paperwork, they send it away & the cash goes into your account a few days later.

For Amazon Associates, they pay with check (outside the US). If you are selling physical products on Amazon seller central, then they pay with bank transfer (outside the US).

  • Yes, you can disperse the money from the account once every 24 hours. It will give you a break down of fees taken etc so you know where your at.
