What's your day like as IMers?

Hey guys,

We all know time is of the essence to business people like us. So what's your day like as internet marketers, or in other words, how do you spend your day? What do you do? How many hours do you spend on your business? Would love to hear from you.

I'm a night time person so I wake up around 9am and head to the gym or out for a ride on my motorcycle. Return around 11am and work on 2 of my web dropship/wholesale businesses fulfilling orders. Lunch and then another 4 hours working on my blogs and other IM related businesses. Dinner I like to go out with friends, and then depending on the day come back and spend another few hours working on my physical brick and mortar business. Got my nose in lots of different income streams but makes every day a different day.

I like to travel atleast once a month too whether that's around New Zealand, Australia or to an exotic country.

Some days are different than others. If you set up a System/s and have been meticulous in creating it over time, then eventually you can start to cut hours down if you choose to do so.

Some days 2 hours while others may be 4 to 5 hours.

As I have gotten older, I have been able to enjoy it more and more and partake in enriching activities
( which include IM and non IM ) during the day that really optimize my time.

    When I started new,
I had to learn a lot of things and find the answer to a strategy that just works,
the learning process is really depending on your free time...

I studied as much as possible as I had the right mentor, got to understand to build list quite quick and how to set up a simple yet effective funnel in my auto-responder.

To be honest that took me a lot of hard work and testing to finally complete my funnel and was working day in and out as i wanted to have everything set in place.

Now its so much easier because my job is to drive traffic and build a list and let my funnel do everything for me as everything is all automated

Just spend few hours a day here and there focusing and testing strategies to drive traffic.

I can take a day off when I feel like but try my best to work at least 2 hours 4 days a week.

Its all about knowing what your doing and having a strategy and don't just be a busy fool.

A busy fool is someone who is doing a lot but really isn't that important.
You need to know what your doing to get the leads and have a funnel that really converts.

AVOID DISTRACTION AND FOCUS ON "WHAT MATTERS NOW" (WMN)

Don't be the person that just looks busy, but be the person that really takes action and makes things work.

So their isn't really much work for me as everything is in place, so a lot of time in my hand to go gym in the mornings and spend time with family and friends.

This is so true, great post.

I had a heated discussion with a friend on this topic. I was trying to explain that for most people, the '8 hour work day' is rarely 8 hours of productive work. The amount of time means nothing, it's how you spend that time.

On average I spend 3-4 hours/day on actual work. In that time it's nothing but blissful productivity and I get **** done.

I now want to get more work on in the morning. And try to use the afternoon to write some articles.

I am now doing more exercise. I run/walk at least 30 minutes 3 days a week. That's a great way to clean your mind and get more energy to keep working.

I'm a mom, so I keep a half-day on Friday and keep myself off (more or less) on Saturdays and Sundays. I love working, but I also want to make sure I'm connecting with my kids (as well as catch up on household tasks) and have my reason for why I'm working in the first place. So my Mon-Thurs and some of Fri is pretty grueling in a good way, as I said, I love it. My teenager doesn't get home til 6:30 anyway because of football practice. So I work from 5 am til 6:30 on those days.

I write my blogs in the morning. I load my hootsuite for social media posts for the day. I do video early in the morning, if I have one to do. Then I work on creative stuff--writing web pages, creating products, etc. I also connect with any coaching clients early. As the day goes by I do less creative and more routine--marketing, social media engagement, making graphics, website maintenance, checking analytics. Then after that I do a LOT of listening (podcasts), reading (industry blogs), learning, researching, preparing.

6:30 is supper and unwind and talk to my kids and we go to bed early on weekdays.

    Hi There,

I found a great free tool called asana, it is basically task management tool. You can add numerous tasks and set deadlines. It will even email you to remind you about deadline. It can also be integrated with a few timer apps. This enables me to work smarter not harder using my available time effectively, I set out my goals for the week and it ticks them off when i click complete

Means I have more valuble time for the fun things in life
