Can you use a squeeze page to pre sell a product?

I'm not talking about one of those email address in exchange for some free ebook, I'm talking about a page with a picture on it and some headlines hyping the product up or saying a few good things about it and telling them to enter their email address to continue on to this great product.

I just thought of this, I don't know if anyone else does this or not.

It can be a pre-sales page, or an early bird list entry page.

Yes, people do this. It's not a bad idea because you're pre-qualifying people, aren't you.

I often see a version of this in copy: a link from a social media post goes to a short "opener" of copy...which has a link at the bottom to the rest of the copy.

Good way of split testing different hooks, one at a time or simultaneously.

      Hi
Its all about testing, what might work for me might not work for you.

The key is to keep testing so something really works for you, Its a great idea and have been done for many big marketers but it all comes down to one thing...

Why will someone buy from you because thousands of others are promoting the same thing but in different format and style....

For us marketers the email address is very important and no one would give it for no good reason,
in exchange of their email we bribe them with a great free offer that gives them value...

The point is no one really buys the product unless they KLT you

      K- KNOW
      L- LIKE
      T- TRUST

You need to build a relation ship with your list and go through a know, like and trust procedure with them and let them invest in you then the product.

To build that trust you need to give them valuable information and help them in the niche they are in.

The sales like that comes more effective... But the way your saying is still great and like I said
      TEST....TEST.... AND ..... TEST

    Yes.

This is actually a great strategy.

If you are going to do it this way, don't make it clear that your pre-selling. Have it be vague and curiosity-driven. Many people will be put-off subscribing if they know they'll be redirected to a sales page.

I use an intermediary page that tells new subscribers that a gift has been sent to their inbox. That way, I build good will with my new subscribers, while still collecting affiliate commissions on the main redirect.

I don't think I can post the link here to my funnel. But I share how I do this freely on my YouTube channel.

    Karmadog,

You can do whatever you like; however, the squeeze page and the pre-sell content are most often done separately for good reason.

Usually, you want the squeeze page to have one sole purpose: to get the subscriber's name and email address. That is your focus and you want to keep it very simple and straightforward. Typically, there is only one option on the squeeze page - your link to the reward following the email capture. You don't want leakage to other linking options.

Pre-selling will have it's place after the prospect has raised his/her hand saying they are interested by joining your list. Follow-up emails and links on your own web site are places where your pre-sell messages can make the most impact.

I think it's wrong to feel like you have to pre-sell first before you qualify the prospect and get him on your list. Some try to do it this way, but if your pre-sell doesn't work - then what? You've lost the prospect forever. I feel it's better to offer an irresistible squeeze first and don't confuse the issue.

    The best to you,

    Steve

Some of the best marketers are doing this. What they do is offer a free gift on the squeeze page? Add a pre-sell video on the thank you page (linking to a offer) then email the free gift. It works cause I do this.. Try it out! You might be surprised of the results.

Here's a thought. For instance, my FREE E-Course in my squeeze page I look at as one of my PRODUCTS.

    And it truly is!!

Maybe it does not have a price on it but my E course is definitely a Product Iam proud of and provides high Value.

Within this Free PRODUCT I have great information along with helpful other PRODUCTS
( that do have a price) that they can have the choice to buy to further their Education.

Adopt this Mindset. Whether it is a Newsletter, E-book, E-course, Podcast etc.. if you have a very high quality freebie you have your own Product right there and treat it as such

    It's all about testing.

The idea behind the free gift is your starting the branding or trust factor. The idea is to overdeliver with your gift with huge value leading your prospect through an emotional state leading them into your paid product which is in harmony with your free gift. Your conversions are a lot higher at this point.

Test with what you want with maybe a low entry price and build a list of straight buyers... Maybe after they purchase you can send them a bonus of value and that will lead into more sales for you in the future.

if you want to presell a product,
the squeeze page should be tailored to the salespage.

    If u can do this,
    you can expect sales.

All you have to do is testing and tweaking till you get
    the perfect squeezepage.

Normally, squeeze page is used specifically to capture only subscriber's name and email address.

Pre-seling, by short presentation for a product is usually a direct first step, then delivering an actual product is a second step, following by OTO #1 (one time offer) for third step,OTO #2 fourth step ...etc.

To use a squeeze page and pre-selling together,in my opinion, may confuse a subscriber because of too much initial information is being presented.

    Hope this helps.

The free information or ebook that you give away on your squeeze page can be used to pre-sell your product.

Yes you can definitely do that. But if I was going to make a suggestion I'd say to not talk about the product until they're already subscribed to your list. Make the focus giving them something for free that's related to the product you're going to try to sell them so they join the list. Then try to sell them on the product after you've given them something for free and they trust you.

You can do it your way instead, but the conversion rate will probably be significantly lower than it would if you had taken some time to make them like you first. Which is why most squeeze pages focus on getting something for free or a discount etc.

Yes, of course you can. You wouldn't call it a "squeeze" page though. By it's very nature, a squeeze page "squeezes" your visitor. In other words, captures their email address.

What you've described, is called a pre-sell page. They work like gangbusters if you do it right. My last WSO had a "pre-sell video" and it really shot up my conversion rate.

All I did was sit in front of the camera and present the same offer that was in my sales letter. But it gives you that "personal" touch that everyone is begging for in this anonymous online world we live in.

But here's a quick tip you can take to the bank.

If you're gonna promote an affiliate product...

It would be much wiser to capture your visitors email address, and THEN, pre-sell the affiliate product, in what I like to call, your "FREEBIE THAT SELLS."

That's what I call anything you give away that actually pre-sells a product. A "freebie that sells." That way, you're not just giving something away for free (aka. "FREEBIE"). You're actually PRE-SELLING.

All freebies should, in my opinion, PRE-SELL SOMETHING.

    If you don't pre-sell a product...

Then AT LEAST pre-sell a CRITICAL CORE CONCEPT that people need to grasp and "wrap their head around" before they can even get value out of your product (or as it may be, in this case, your affiliate product).

    Thanks!

Yes, you have such an opportunity, but it’s very aggressive way of sales and in a few month you’ll find out that your conversions are down. As for me, and it’s a common tactic, it’s better to grab some leads with picreel’s squeeze page and then make a mail campaign with a Mailchimp. It would be not so annoying for the consumer.

People do this all the time. It's not a bad idea. But squeeze pages aren't used to presell a product. If you want to presell, use a standard landing page. It could be a review of a product, a compare and contrast of similar products, or a simple paragraph or two about who you are, and how the product helped you.
