Use of Istock Pictures in Blogs and Ezinearticles

Hello,
I have a question on the use of Istock pics on blogs and ezinearticles profile. If you are using a pen name for your blog and Ezine articles and want to use a picture, would you recommend using a picture from Istock pics? Is it legal to do so?

Kindly clarify.

Thanks,
Dan

I think you'll find that it is legal, but wonder why you would? Unless of course the photo is directly related to what you're promoting.

Just use Flicker and credit the user. Much better pictures and without the watermark.

Mmm, if you actually pay for a photo from iStockPhoto, you get a higher resolution copy with no watermark. I think this is what the OP has in mind.

Ah sorry I missed that. I thought the OP was looking for free photos.

Did you pay for the stock photos? If so, Im pretty sure you are allowed to do anything you want with them besides sell 'em.

Besides, what are they going to do? Sue a pen name?

Yes you can use I stock photos for your pen name.

However you might want to find an action photo of related to your subject.
