Good/Bad idea - Massive content upload for new website

I have an ebook I've been working on for a very long time and I've changed my mind to cut it up into blog post for my website. My concern is what will google do to my site when it sees over 300 articles in the range of 500 to 1500 words or more each pop up out of nowhere. All articles are written for people and not with bots/spiders in mind. Thanks for any help.

Don't put them all on there at one time. The search engines like to see growth, so just put up a few a week. You might also have to re-work some of the titles and what not, so that you are targeting good keywords. Make sure to use a keyword tool like the free Google Keyword Planner tool. Your articles should also be written in a way that you can link them to a review of a product recommendation. All of them don't have to be like this, but a fair amount of them should. The search engines like to see internal linking on a site as well.

    Hi him77,

You should be fine if you just post 1-2 times each day. That's not really abnormal. Honestly, I'm not even sure if Google would care if you post a bunch in one day. As long as it's all your original content. As far as I know, there is no real danger in blogging too much.

As Miguelito203 alluded to above, you may want to re-work some of the articles for on-page SEO to target certain keywords. That would take some time for that much content, so you would be hard-pressed to throw this stuff up on your site "too fast". Doing good keyword research, adding images, reworking the article, this stuff can take time. That's why I wouldn't be overly concerned about Google caring how fast you're posting this stuff.

All of that is assuming you want to use the articles for traffic...

If you're just looking to fill your blog with tons of value based content, so your current visitors and subscribers can read them, you'll still need to rework the formatting a bit. Just to make them pretty in a blog post.

If this is the case, I would still add images and some "Calls to Action" (to subscribe to your list maybe) within the posts to make it worth your while. Or maybe just add a simple optin-box in between a couple paragraphs saying something like "For More Great Content Like This, Put Your Email in Below". Or if you have a lead magnet (like another ebook?) then just offer it there.

The point is to maximize your articles' effectiveness as much as you can.

    I hope that helps buddy.
