Default For this kind of keyword, what would you use?

For keywords like "how to make money online" and other how to keywords what would you try to rank in Google and how would you make money?

Would you write an article and end the article with a clickbank link?
Would you create a sales and build backlinks to it?
Would you give away the product in exchange for an opt-in?

What would you do?

And remember this is ranking something in the SERPS.
I have all my backlinking stuff ready but I can't decide what to make for some of these keywords, lol.

"How to" keywords come in two flavors: people looking for info on how to do something on their own; people ready to buy an easy solution. Why not write an ebook (special report, whatever you want to call it) that answers the "how to" question. With just a decent sales page or squeeze page, you should be able to sell it or build a list by giving it away in exchange for an email address.

Then write a related article to draw traffic.

If it's IM related, you can even run a $20 WSO and either give it away to help build your email list or sell it at a nice discount.

An alternate method is to give away a chapter as a teaser to get people to subscribe to your list, then instead of a Thank You page, use that page for a OTO to sell the full ebook.

Either way, the $20 cost for the WSO will be incidental.

Maybe you could start up a membership site that
interviews 'gurus' each month, grilling them for
the juicy bits of information. Charge say $5 and
you also then have their email to follow up anytime.
