Monetizing Giveaway Website

Hi,

I had an idea to start a website giving away in-game stuff.
Now I would like to know the best way to monetize this?

My first thought was to monetize it with video ads. So you have to watch an ad ( or multiple) before you can enter the giveaway. The problem with this one is that I didn't found a script or plugin to do this.

Second I thought to monetize it with surveys. Problem is I don't think anyone is going to make a survey to have a chance to win something.

Ps. Prizes for the items I give away can be for as much as a few pennies to a few 100 bucks.

    You don t trust surveys but i tell you.. they work.. you wouldn t do a 'quick' survey for something worth 100$ if you d need it? i would go for surveys

      I know but I am not sure it is the best for long term. I prefer to buy stuff for low value to lower the risk of losing money and surveys won't work for low value items.

    Anyone other ideas to monetize this? To be more specific I want to sell Game items ( weapon skins).
    Most items will be around 4 to 10 dollars and I want to give them away.

    I still consider CPA as an option but I am still looking for an alternative. Ofcourse I need to have some ROI.

        What do you mean?

        Aren't you trying to get people to perform a task(s) to get a prize? Task being something that generates revenue for you.

          Yeah but I don't trust all these Get paid to website. I don't think that making people click on ads is a good way either..

    Instead of directly trying to monetize the free gifts, may you can consider an indirect approach of using them to help generate traffic to your own platform (like a blog)? You can put up affiliate products like ebook guides or gaming products on your platform which can help provide income.

    You're biggest issue with that will be any decent paying CPA or similar offer is unlikely to accept incentivised traffic.

    I'd try to create a profile of your demographic & from there: post ad's with links to your own affiliate offers or products, go direct to companies (or larger marketing companies) and sell them your adspace based on full wrap, sidebar etc.You'll need to substantiate both traffic and demographic claims though
