Curious Clickbank Scenario - 75% of 498 Products!

Hey all,
I may have to ask Clickbank this one if I really want an answer. But I was just curious so I thought I would ask it here. Lets say you are a vendor and you have an affiliate promoting your product that is paying out 75%. The affiliate promotes the site and the customer buys the upsell(product 2) which would probably be

2.vendor.pay.clickbank.net
instead of product #1 which is
1.vendor.pay.clickbank.net

The affiliate will then get the commission of 75% from the upsell(product 2) so he makes more money.

Now lets say that the customer who bought the product finds out that this clickbank vendor has 498 other products in his clickbank account and the customer buys them all within 60 days.

What I was wondering is if the affiliate who has their cookie on this customers computer is going to get 75% profits off of the sale of the other 498 products.

I guess this could never happen unless the vendor has an opt in before their download page and he emails this customer to let him know of his 498 products.

I'm not taking this too serious but thought I would put it out there to see if I can get an answer. I'm always looking to learn more about Clickbank. Just wondering because that would be great for the affiliate.

Mike

I think the probability for that to happen is very slim. I would be nice though. Stand to correction but I also don't think the affiliate will score as the product hove to be directly related to the first one

    Hi Mike,

Affiliates who have been promoting my Expert Persuader course are also getting the commissions for my other Clickbank products, even if they're only promoting my Expert Persuader course.

So I guess the Clickbank cookie is working. However, I'm not sure if that's the case in all computers. I think some computers that have certain anti-spyware installed may not register the cookie when a customer buys through a second Clickbank product's main link (for example: http://yoursite.com) after you've promoted the primary Clickbank affiliate product.

The primary Clickbank product would get tracked to the affiliate though, as well as any product promoted using the Clickbank affiliate link.

Would be great to hear what others have to say.

    Thanks,
    Michael

    Me too.

Yes - he will get 75% commission on all sales while his
    cookie is active.

Thanks Imdude, Michael and Harvey. I had a feeling Harvey would know this one. That's interesting to know.

I guess a vendor may not know that. I didn't. So he may simply say "let me promote my other products to my clickbank list" and then finds out when he sees in his account that he only got 25% in the case above if its within 60 days.

Great stuff for the affiliate though.

So if this is the case it would be nice for vendors to somehow offer/upsell or get a list of all there products to the buyer as the affiliates and vendors will benefit. I am not a vendor but as a affiliate would welcome this from all vendors

That's exactly what I do as a vendor.

All my free books are rebrandable and cross link to each
other and to my sites so the affiliate often gets commission
on products he does not directly promote.
