When should I use Custom Post Type in wordpress
I have created deals page with custom post type.I am using custom post type UI plugin. After creating two deals pages, I found that nothing special in using custom post type. instead I can create a category for deals. Because even custom post type plugin creates archive page same as category archive page.
I am not understanding, why many bloggers use custom post types for deals page.
What are the benefits, if you use custom post types.
Can any one suggest me, what should I do? should I use custom post type or should I use usual post with deals category.
If any one know procedure to edit archive page, please let me know. I am using genesis frame work.
