hello! I know that i've been advised (from several different sources) to produce short sales videos to include on my squeeze pages. This works two-fold, firstly getting lots of traffic from youtube et al, secondly more click-throughs to my affiliate product (in this case, clickbank). However, I would be interested to hear your comments and observations on the following questions. 1) To what extent do videos REALLY influence the buyer? I'm not looking to ask people to say anything specific, but, did you notice a significant increase/difference when you added a video which couldn't be attributed to any other influence on sales? 2) Do you think it depends on the target audience of the product being sold, to a significant degree? Or are videos all-around a good idea For this 2nd topic of discussion I'm thinking less tech-savvy users... e.g. if you are marketing "how to get the best out of your retirement income" aimed at housewives with a tiny pension in their 50-s they're not gonna be the most technically aware audience... am i just being stereotypical about whether they could cope with video if they didn't have the browser plugin...! Or is it your opinion that... if they're browsing your page and likely to buy this ain't really an issue!

| I would advise knowing your target for any type of marketing, not just using videos. If you get most of your target from Youtube then videos would be a natural choice. But if you get older retired folks who responded to an offline ad about a free coupon for adult diapers and they are using the public computers at the old folk's home, they probably are going to hit the back button as soon as the video starts. Sounds like a joke but the point is, if you know your audience, then you know what they respond to and maybe more importantly, what they don't respond to. I live in the Bay Area of California and many sophisticated people from San Francisco won't even look at an ad that has any "hype" language on the sales page. If I change the language to suit their sensitivities then I can sell them the travel tickets. Same tickets. Same discount. Different language. I see using videos as a form of communicating your message. How does your target like to be talked to? Matt |

| I've heard it said a couple of times that video is great for free offers. Sean's Video Assasin course mixes it up with CPA. So I'd say depends on what action you want from those visitors. Give it a whirl. Test. You never know. Andy |
