Need Help With Monetization Ideas

Hi Guys,

I have a cooking recipe website, about 5,000 fans on FB and about 1,000 active email subscribers.

The website's traffic isn't very high. Probably 1000 pageviews a month, mostly driven from FB. There's about 20 - 30 recipes on the site.

The FB fans and email subscribers are quite engaged though. I have open rates of about 40% and clicks of about 20%.

The entire model is geo-targeted, localised. I'm targetting people locally. So my fans, and email subscribers are all from a single country.

Any suggestions on how i can start monetizing this base? Thanks!

You've got to figure out what it is that your users want so badly that they'd pay for it. What pains them?

I've seen things like shopping checklists and weekly meal plans work well, both as digital products they can purchase individually, or with a membership model where they can get weekly or monthly meal plans and or shopping lists.

Solve a problem, make their lives easier, provide value that no one else is providing...those will be your money makers.

The basic funnel I think of is

    Free Offer
Intro Offer (7.99 to 29.99 price range ish)
Main Offer (29.99 to 150.00 price range ish altho could be higher depending on what it is)
Premier Offer (115.00 to 499.00 price range ish altho could be higher or perhaps a little lower (99.00))

Each of these offers should be something you can deliver digitally/automatically--like a PDF or videos.

    Do you like making videos?

Each of these offers could be a video series. Like a 3-vid series for the Free Offer. Then a 7-vid series for the intro. Then bigger series for the last two.

Like ShoppingSignals says, in the vids, teach them something, but from solving a problem for them, answering a question.

Might take some time to create these, but once you do, you can offer them constantly without more creation work--just the marketing work.
