Change blog niche

Hello i want to change my website niche (from one to another completely different).
Is that ok for Google? How will Google handle this?

    Just do it.

    I've abused the hell out of my blog over the years lol.

    (Changed niches a million times, deleted hundreds of posts, added them, moved them, deleted them again).

    Just be sure to keep your sitemaps updated with Google Webmaster Tools.

    Why do people do that ? I mean, I have nothing with you or your blog, but I have a couple of blogs myself.. and I always fixate on one of them and write on that one.. I mean it`s just $10 for a .com domain.. You`ll lose a lot of power anyhow when changing niches, if you have most backlinks on one niche and then change the niche of the website..
