How Do you Deal With Frustration

How do warriors deal with frustration. Frustration is beginning to get the better part of me.

I set a target to make between $800-$1500 this month but I have only made $39 so far. Thought I should be able to make at least $800 this month cos of the little success I had last month but it seems I am dead wrong.

I have written 40 articles ( wrote just 28 last month) this month but the articles could only generate $39 even though I have made so much improvement.

My articles are doing well and I am getting votes and views even know my I have always believed my English is part of the reason I am not succeeding online.

The worst thing is that it is 3 days now and I have not written a single article. The only thing I have done is spent 3 hours doing backlinks ( Angela and Paul) and then spend the rest of the day reading about soccer.

I don't not doing what I have to do will not help me but I don't know how to get motivated again...Help please warriors.

This is something which happens with me often. I setup a goal like extra $2k -$3K every month and try to reach it but make it to 50%-60% of it only.

The only thing that keeps me focused is fresh air. I turn off my notebook and go out to some park and sit there thinking about everything that I see. It just makes me feel fresh. I get back, make plans for the next move and get working on it...

Only you know what is going to motivate you to push through this frustrating time. Sure, $39 is a long way off from $800 a month but you indicated that you did better than last month and it seems that you are moving in the right direction with what you are doing.

Keep doing what is working and build on what you already have. It is a lot of work, but you really just need to look inside yourself to decide if it is worth your time achieving the goal you have set for yourself. If it's not then you can stop where you're at. If it is, you know what you need to keep doing.

    Best of luck

First of all, you should set goals that a very reasonable to achieve. Setting your goals way to high will just lead you to become frustrated and throwing in the towel.

Remember it takes, a long time to achieve online (and offline success), and it sounds like your are working hard on it! Also, you did make a sale, so you are on the right track;-)

I remember a few years back, when I started my off-line company, a vise man said: "expect red figures for the first 2 years...at least". You cannot expect to make a good solid income for a long time.

Stay focused and keep going. If you feel , you lost motivation to write, then read and learn (or do backlinks ;-) ) it all counts in the long run!

I hope you get back on the horse soon

    Good Luck

      Simply,

"idle mind is a devil's workshop"

Never leave yourself to idle. Those idle minutes are worst parts and will take you nowhere.

Make yourself busy. Whether it is gardening, backlinks or writing articles. Never let your mind to go beyond you. That is the key. Mind controlling Gurus can control their minds mentally. But as a normal human being only thing we can control mind is through physical action only.

Yoga also can help a lot to come out from frustration.

I hope some points can help you,

I think the dream is realistic enough. In fact I believe ( base of previous' achievement) I should be able to beat $800 but it doesn't look like it.

I counted the articles I have written and it is 52 total ( 10 was written by a friend) did some many back links and distributed the articles but still no result.

In fact my site is now no where to be found in google this month. It was page one ( position 4) for a product + review last month and page 2 for product without review but it is no were to be found this month.

Also clickbank locked my account meaning I can not outsource until they reopen it ( they will reopen it but when.......).

      Seriously frustrated.

  • Hey Yommys01,

I have went through this plenty of times and found that the problem might not be in your plans, but your set goal.

If you go about setting a goal for yourself saying " I will make $1500 this month " and start working, It's hard to see anyone getting their (depending on your current status).. If you are not making anything, or making $100/month with your sites, and you want to jump it to $1500 in a month.

I'm not saying its not possible. It is achievable, without a doubt. But try going about setting smaller goals for yourself. At the end of everything, you do hope to make that $1,500, but instead of thinking of it like that. Put up small goals.

Example: Day 1: I will setup wordpress for the site, and put up half the design
Day 2: I will finish the design, put up a few articles on the site, and a few in directories and track them
    Day 3: etc.....

Eventually, if you are working efficiently, you will find yourself much closer to your main goal than if you where to simply place a big goal such as making XXXX in the upcoming month and have that hunting you and in your head the whole time.

Like any business, whether it be online or offline, you will feel frustrated from time to time. Its part of the job, and the best thing you can do is find a way to let go of that frustration. I find the best thing to do is go out and do something that relax's you or calms you down. Example: when I'm feeling frustrated, I go to my boxing gym and have it out. Not out of anger, but simply just as a way to release some of the tension and get your mind off things.
