How to promote Kickstarter Campaign?

Hi, all!

I am running 3rd annual Kickstarter Campaign to promote Chess & Science Festival, but this time around I got quite a number of solicitations from "market influencers" and "crowdfunding FB/twitter promoters" and less actual backers...

What would be the correct way to run the promotion / advertisement for this type of campaigns? (https://www.kickstarter.com/projects...l-and-all-girl)

Should I hire any of the "promoters" and whom? I noticed that Fiverr offers ton of those for $5 each with the reviews that it's not worth it. It is my understanding that all the blogs / FB / twitter posts will be on the junk accounts, which no one looks at, as they are filled with the promotions.

So far, I have used my own FB, LinkedIn, Twitter and website. My campaign is almost funded with 19 days to go. Any suggestions will be appreciated!

Sincerely, Anjelina

    Hi Anjie,

Why not reach out to some Facebook groups and fanpage owners who might appreciate your cause? If you join a group, you can post a link there. Just make sure it doesn't look "spammy".

If you contact a fan page owner, you can ask them to share the link on their page.

I would search for groups and pages with people who are most likely to support your cause.

    -Chess related
    -PTO
    -PTA

You could target really any organization that involves parents and teachers since they would seem to be an ideal audience for this.

The key to this strategy is to contact AS MANY AS POSSIBLE until you get the funds you need.

    Hope that helps.

      Thanks, dustinthigpen!
I have found a few and have posted if I could. However, I didn't find too many and it is quite time consuming.
Still, the idea of PTO and PTA was great - I just added a few more.
      Sincerely,
      Anjelina

As dustinhigpen said this might be the most effective way.
Go to schools, scout movements, libraries, chess clubs and let as much people know as you can. Try to let them send emails/put your link up on their social media sites.
