Can a single page review site convert?

Let's say I find an excellent affiliate product but do not have an existing site I can readily promote it on and want to get something going quickly, would a single pre-sell page convert users landing to the page from very targeted PPC traffic while I build the site up slowly?

All depends on your content. Any idea can make money, just depends on how you present it.

Should the design look like a review or a sales page? Remember, I will be sending traffic to a product page. How long should my piece be? Should it be really long (to perhaps make it look more authorative) or just long enough to get the benefits of the product across to the reader. If its too long, will it hold interest?

The length of the page doesn't really matter that much. You just have to find the right balance between quality and quantity(length).

Your question choosing between a review or a sales page: Why not both? Combine the two! Talk about the product (benefits like you mentioned) and put once in a while some lines how it helped you.

It kinda depends on how the product page is looking. If it's just a "buy me" button with a picture of the product and the price then make your page like a CB product. If the product page looks like a CB page, then put plenty of reviews. (IMO better to have 5 small but strong reviews, then 1 long one)

I would build a landing page and invest some money in "Solo Ads"... Hopefully you have some money for advertising...

Make the landing page eye watering with a very nice story that a person will do everything to buy it as if his life depends on it... I was conned once due to a super enticing landing page with a nicely made video that blew me away, great huh!

    from very targeted PPC traffic
You should send traffic to a squeeze page. Make it seem like entering their info. is the only way to gain access to this (insert adjective) information, then redirect to your affiliate page.

Yes a one page website can convert depending on the content. What works the best is sending traffic to an opt-in page which gives away information of value in exchange for a e-mail address.

Of course it can. Just place your call to actions appropriately and make sure you give them what they want.

It can (says quantum mechanics), but if i were you i wouldn't try it.

Due to the fact that you had to ask this question... it suggests that you've never tried it before, and you aren't comfortable with the proven way to market an affiliate product online. So i'm saying.... i'm guessing you're a newbie.

It's possible that you can get sales, but how will you get backend sales? Are you promoting a recurring income affiliate program?

Yes it definitely can, as a matter a fact i know some web developer only focus on one page site and rank em high and make tons of conversion per day!

    Good Luck

I've never done PPC, but I know a single review page can work for a review site that gets nothing but organic traffic from the SERPS. You've just got to write good content, and make sure you target the right keywords (at the end of the buying cycle).

I think so, some businesses relies on social media platforms only but seems successful on it. So, I think it'll work depending on your strategies, you can try other platforms too.
