Hi, I wonder if anyone can help me. I'm not even sure I'm in the right place.
I have recently been selling a lot of the same product via ebay and receiving payments through paypal. All has been going well until a polish buyer decided to put disputes on 5 transactions (even though the listings stated postage within 10 days and 2nd class) this is now only 5 working days after he payed. My issue is that I now have a negative balance as I had withdrawn the money to pay for further items to be listed. Can paypal automatically take the money from my debit card that has been registered with them or would I have to send them a cheque if they decide to refund the buyer?
Thanks in advance and am really sorry if this isn't the correct forum to post on

From my experience, (with a verified business account... pretty sure it's the same with a personal acct) PayPal has never automatically taken money from my bank account or credit card that they have on file.

Your account will remain in the negative until you have either sold enough items to recover the balance, or if you transfer funds from your bank/debit card to PayPal.

Hope that helps, also, your best bet is to call PayPal directly with your questions.

OMG, that's brilliant thank you so much. I will call paypal first thing on Monday morning. Thanks again for your advice.
Do you think it's different for a personal account though - I'm not a verified business account yet as only started selling in April of this year. Was going well until this happened - certainly makes you worried and puts you off
