ANYBODY HERE Getting Traffic From Forum Signatures???

Do you have a LOT of posts either from warriorforum or any other forums on the web?

I see some forum members with thousands of posts, and I'm always wondering, "WOW! These guys must be getting a ton of traffic just from their forum signatures."

How many posts do you have and about how much traffic are you getting a month from your forum signature links?

I'll start with me,
I have about 250 warriorforum posts and I get maybe around 50-100 signature clicks a month.

Not a whole lot, but it's free traffic each month, so not bad.

What about you guys?

Thanks for viewing!

    Hi,
I started warrior forum to educate myself and also help those who need it....

I think its different for every one my friend,
It all depends on how you help someone...
If your answer is amazing and spot on and gives value to the viewers then with even one post you can get hundreds of visitors, whereas if i have thousands of post but no value then i believe that no one will be interested in clicking your signature....

I believe by really helping some one, then you should be rewarded so give valuable information that might help someone and let the good deeds pay back over time it self...

I get traffic but have never bothered to track it before. Now, I'm kind of curious.

When I did post here consistently it did generate a few leads per day. I still get new email subscribers from posts I've made ages ago, so that's nice too.

It's more than just signature clicks for me - I know people are more likely to buy my products when they see I'm active in the IM community and feel like they know me, even if it's just a bit. I owe quite a bit of money simply due to the fact that people have 'seen me around.'

But I mainly just come here to relax and talk with other people. Never really feels like I'm 'at work marketing' when I'm posting here.

I feel about the same way. I have gotten a few clicks here and there. But, I come here to share my wealth of knowledge about subjects I'm familiar with and learn from warriors about subjects I'm not.

Like Sarevok and James McAllister said, the forum can be good to you if you are consistent. When I was more consistent, I was generating a few good leads from this forum. Frequency matters a lot.

Now, I wouldn't consider it free by any means, if you value your time. But since most of us are here interacting and talking about things we like to talk about anyway, we cut ourselves some slack.

    (:

PS. It helps to have good forum responses, a decent sig file, and to target the particular audience you're looking for. Anyone can throw up a sig file and post. But it takes some thought about the viewer on the other end.

I remember in the past used to get some traffic, but it wasn't much... But I did this just because, I could do it, you know this kind of traffic will never be your main source

That is a great question. You would think that since I've been a member here for about 11 years I would be tracking my Sig traffic by now? Wrong! But I should, so perhaps I will start now. So Google Analytics, here I come. That being said, I have noticed that I get visitors from WF Sigs, I just did not pay enough attention to it.

Depends on how you post on the forums you are participating in as to what kind of results you will get from your signature links.

People are more likely to look at your links if you are helpful in your posts versus just a quick knee jerk post to try and get some 'drive by traffic'... you will do much better.

Posting negative info on another's thread to obviously promote your links is a bad move as well...

Provide value in your posts and readers will be automatically attracted to look at your signature, especially in forums such as this one with so many high end online marketers that visitors are inclined to look at signatures of those they perceive to be knowledgeable and honest with their approach.

It is a good question. I would guess it would be worthwhile to use a specialized traffic link.
I don't mind posting in forums and have a lot of knowledge to share but if it isn't worth the time financially or if there are no perks, then I guess I would skip it mostly.

I would say that text signature don't work well, you need to pay for the $60 image signature, it works very well. Traffic flow is higher using image signature.

Also, if you want to convert your users, like in IM forums, you put money making products in your signature it helps. Put related stuffs to the forums helps a lot.

I bought the banner signature link, it was okay traffic, not sure if it's 60$ worth since I wasn't an active member posting everyday. I think the regular signatures works just as well, but for free.

Just thought of something important. If you look at how many people are viewing this forum, that's a pretty good indicator that there's not that much traffic to be had.

    Not exactly "avalanche" numbers.

    Perhaps a trickle.

Unless this is your "social media" and you're just here for the donuts.

Definitely not what it used to be. I've been watching the "online" numbers quite a bit lately. It's only a fraction of pre-FL.

Two or three years ago I occasionally had $100-$200 dollar days off just forum traffic. Today I made $14.39.

4000+ post and making $15/day as of today.

$100-$200/day back in the good ol days....though!
      WOW!

Can you tell us about the traffic numbers, before and after? Thank you!

Yep ,sure wasn't what is used to be.

Still a decent way to get some long term customers who eventually become loyal and trusting because you have "done them right"

Kind of a refuge of sorts away from the crazy hucksters and scammers in this industry !!
