Hi. I'm a total newbie, but do know how to do webdesign. Is the single column long-form copy style of page the best way to go when selling a product I have created via Clickbank. Can you give me some examples of ones that would be considered good examples? Also, I see that on some of the pitch pages that some of the text is rendered as graphics as opposed to being text with a style associated with it. Is this for SEO purposes? Thanks |

Well the old style one-column sales letters were originally created to mimic direct mail through the post, hence having a very high conversion rate at the time. But as time has flown by, more graphics are used and this has helped re-bump the conversion rates a bit. However, I've tested this in various niches and it all varies i'm afraid. Some plain designs with just a white background, video and opt-in form sometimes work better than a fully graphical page. Same applies with sales letters. Create the standard one-column sales letter, then you've just gotta test, tweak, test, tweak, test! ![]() - James. |
