Must I Include Authors Link in Articles from Ezinearticles.com?

I want to use a bunch of articles from Ezinearticles.com, etc. for my site. I won't be modifying these articles. To avoid the duplicate content issue, these articles will NOT be included in my sitemap and will NOT be linked to from anywhere else on my site. I will also put a no robots-no index-no follow tag in them. The only links to them will be in my once per week newsletter.

Of course the end of every article has a link to the authors site, so the question is...

Instead of including a link to the authors website at the end of the article, would it be cool to ONLY put their name and url like this...

Author: Joe Blow from JoeBlowsWebsite.com
(Obviously "JoeBlowsWebsite.com" would NOT be a link.)

Is it okay to do that, or do I have to put the authors link?

Thanks.
Steve

Of course it needs to be a link- these people aren't submitting articles for their health! :-)

Read the TOS of the article directory. Yes, you MUST include the links,
otherwise you can't use the articles.

      It's that simple.

Authors hate that. Besides, one of the TOS when you use article is:

Agree to make all links so that they are Active/Linkable with no syntax changes.

Looks like you got the right answer.

No it is not okay to do that. Yes, you have to use the author's link - AND - it must be clickable. Anything else is exactly the kind of thing that drives article writers crazy (and rightfully so).

To be fair, I think it is really cool that you asked instead of assuming it was okay. To be honest, no one is going to complain about the links being there.

Out of curiosity, why were you wanting to remove them?

p.s. I also belive ezinearticles only allows you to use up to 25 articles from their site, per year. Like Steven said, read the TOS; there's lots of stuff you can and cannot do.

Yes, you must include the links. Otherwise, you are like those bottom-feeding content scrapers. You can easily monetize the site anyway and having the links won't kill your profits if you have compelling complementary offers.

A must for the links to be active and alive where you put the articles.

I think you have your answer, so just for the record, Yes you must keep anything in the resource box 'as is', complete with all clickable links.

          Best wishes

Got it and thanks! Its the first time I will have used someone elses articles. Yes, and I should have looked at Ezinearticles tos first. Duh!

            Thanks again.

To keep people from clicking away from my site of course. I wanted to do the right thing though and wondered if it was cool to just type in their domain. Obviously it isn't cool to do that. But like I said in my previous post above, it was dumb that I didn't just look at their TOS first before posting this!

As usual, this forum is one of the best things on the internet!

      Thanks guys.
