    I appreciate your enthusiasm.

If I were in your situation, the first step I would take is to look for my competitors.

    Find your competitors.

Take screenshots of how their sites are laid out

Take notes regarding what topic categories they cover

Next, run your topics through Google Keyword Planner and see if you can find related topics that get traffic and have decent commercial value.

Next, load your keywords into Google's search bar and look for less competitive keywords.

Once you have all this going, go back to your layout notes and see what the 'industry standard' is

Go to the Warrior For Hire section and look for a Wordpress theme designer and web content writers.

You couldnt have said it better. That is exactly what I would do if I was in that niche cause is not the same as internet marketing or make money online niche which is much easier to work with. So get some ideas from your competitions in your niche, look at their sites, do thorough keyword research, create good content around those keywords etc.

Alternatively you could go for paid traffic. The choice is completely yours.

I think that blogging in your site about your site would be a start.
Do you have a passion for music? Because if you are passionate it should be easy to make that start.
You could start by talking from your heart about your site and your passion for music.
I would also then promote that in social sites like facebook.
You could also find some facebook groups that are musically dedicated and promote there as well.
Just start sharing from your heart and it will flow.
Ideas will flow and newer ideas will come.
In time you will find yourself on a roll.
Good Luck and get it going Now!

I think you should create a simple blog with something useful and a basic sales page about your product. Do some keyword research and send traffic to your sales page through PPC (start with bing). Have a small budget and see how your niche does. if it does attract lots of interest then go big on SEO and other traffic methods

    Find large competitors.

    Drop their sites into similarweb.com

See how they are getting their traffic (you might be surprised).

Follow their example at the level you're able to.

Some big players as competitors. But Iam gathering from your Post, that you have lots of enthusiasm and passion and really want to make it work.

      Thats a great factor.

But realize you will go through some 'doldrums'. So do not let that get you down or deter you.

Good luck and I would definitely check out some of the successful sites/players in this niche.

See what they are doing that works. And do not copy it but take bits and pieces and put your own unique spin on things.

I would suggest making a survey to your local music community. See what they want and what they are looking on a service like yours. Start talking directly to your audience and you will know what to do and how much to charge in average.
