I've had this domain for maybe 1.5 years or so, and I listed it on afternic months and months ago. Along with other domains I own.

I completely forgot all about my listings and today I got a random email that says my domain was sold and escarow has been processed...

The domain is petmerch.com I got it for 99 cents on godaddy..

It sold for $250..

How do you know if it's worth selling? I haven't had any intentions of using it for sometime now.

easy.. Would you rather have petmerch.com or $250? Personally, I'd rather have the $250.

Seems like a good price for everyone involved. "Merch" is primarily a music industry term.

I would say you got a good sale. Although I'm certain the individual who purchased the name was thinking merch=merchandise or merch=merchant. In the end a domain is worth what someone will pay for it. If you had it listed for more it may have sat without a sale for 5 years. Congrats on the sale, hope you can sell your other names as well.

A domain price relies on some things such as Content, Traffic, page rank. So If the site content is really original & valuable, the site price will increase, at the same logic if the Page rank & Traffic good, the domain demand also will be increased. In the case of traffic, it will check from which country the traffic come. Thanks a lot.
