Tag question: caps or lowercase?

when you do a search query it doesn't matter if you type in caps or lower case... in an article submission we're counseled to capitalize the first letter of each word

anyone know if Google's parsing of tags (wordpress tags, hubpages tags etc) is or wants or ignores "improper syntax"?

I've been tagging my posts as with the first letter in caps... now I'm wondering if that is why I'm not seeing my tags in the serps under the keywords I'm shooting for.

what leads me to think maybe this could be a snytax mistake is because the tags from the free worldpress.com blogs I use ARE showing up in the serps but my fancy hosted wordpress.org posts with it's fancy Thesis them and All in one SEO ... those suckers are NOT showing up

any ideas gang?
thanks

I did what you did (First letter is cap) and I can see some of my tags in SERP. I don't see it for some other pages. Not sure why. But I don't think your concerns do make a difference in how SERP appears.

It doesn't matter whether or not you use upper or lower case because WordPress converts your tags to slugs which are all lowercase and hyphenated if they contain more than 1 word.

I have tags that are capitalised and some that aren't - they all look the same to Google.

      Cheers,

      Martin.
