Hi Warriors I listed two of my domains for sale on sedo.com (homeremediesandcures.com and healthrelatedinfo.org ). How long does it take for the domains to be sold? Reason I ask is I made some changes in the contact details with my domain registrar, and got a message that these domains cannot be transferred for 60 days from the date of changing the contact info. In case the domains are sold by Sedo before this time, will I be in trouble, as I cannot transfer the domains? Looking forward to your advice, and reassurance I won't be in trouble. |

Those two are not likely to sell any time soon unless you luck out. The preference is for much shorter domain names. If someone just happens to be looking for exactly those domain names, they could sell, but I wouldn't bet on it.

So checking the Google's Keyword tool, Traffic estimator, wordtracker, etc. is important before buying any DN's unless you can create a market for your brand which does takes time. But there's many factors when it comes to owning a domain name and if I knew back in 1998 what I know now I'd be sitting in heaps of money today because generic words are selling in the millions of dollars. Anyways, getting back to your Sedo names. To sell you need to promote but in all honestly, those names are not worth promoting. Drop them is my advice. Sorry.

I wish I could say "sure those domains will sell no problem" but I doubt this will be the case. More often than not domains get buried in the staggering number of domains listed and as sbucciarel said - they would have to be looking for that domain(s) (or similar). I haven't had any luck selling domains on Sedo. I have sold domains on eBay but there are mostly bargain hunters there that don't even want to bid for more than registering the domain. I did sell a domain on Afternic for $1000 but that is because the person was looking to register it, went to the domain and saw it was for sale, and then contacted me about it. I am not meaning to be negative, just realistic. Why not try to develop one of the sites and try to flip it - you could throw in the other domain as a bonus freebie to sweeten the deal. In this case you still need to make a decent site since the domains themselves aren't going to justify a significant sale price. Good luck!
