I am dealing with a couple people who have real estate businesses. To get an idea of what I might charge them for some things, such as leads and rental of websites, I have been looking around. I have not found an answer yet as to how much they are paying for exclusive leads on the average. I know some here are in real estate or have been, could you help me out? Can you tell me how much on the average people pay for - home buyer leads (I see a special of 10 leads for $350 and up) - home rental leads - I really need an answer to this one - apartment rental leads - shop and business space rentals Any other suggestions as to what would be really helpful to them would be appreciated. Thanks. Jeannie |

Jeannie, hi, Im a realtor myself. I dont think i can answer this but i would have a few suggestions if you need any. First, i would post this same question on the active rain forum for realtors. its huge and just for realtors. Someone should be able to direct you there. Also, you may just want to google it, see what other sites are charging and go from that. Good luck!

I sell leads to real estate investors and usually sell my leads for around $20. I know my competition sells them for $35-$40.

Project #1. Check with you state department of Realtors and find out if it's LEGAL to sell real estate leads. As an example, here in TN you MUST be a licensed real estate agent in order to do so. On the other hand, I can build a website, charge a Realtor $X a month for up-keep, etc., and all leads are funneled to that Realtor. Pete |

| That doesn't make sense to me. Why would you get a real estate license to act as a marketer? If you are going to get the license, you would want to work as an agent I would think. In my experience it has never been illegal to sell the leads, as long as you sell them independently of the outcome. If you sell them based on the closing of a sale, then it becomes illegal in all states that I am familiar with.

Thanks everyone. Pete, great suggestion. I will check. I made a website, it is capturing some leads and It will be funneled to the realtor. I just needed an idea of worth, to factor that into the value of the site and the rental cost. Jeannie |
