Hi all, I was trying to get hosting with vendor-lock and noticed my emails to customer service has not been answered for many weeks.

Also, when I called their BC, Canada phone number for assistance all I got was the phone company telling me the line was dead.

Has anyone else having issues with vendor-lock hosting?

Did vendor-lock go out of business recently?

I don't think they went out of business. If you read the WSO thread there are numerous posts on there about how bad their customer service is.

From what I can gather it's pretty much a one man show and the guy is overwhelmed. He also has a heart condition, and goes off the grid for weeks at a time when he needs to get treated.

I bought their self-hosted autoresponder and ended up stopping the service after a couple of weeks. I was only able to get 3 broadcasts to go out successfully, and then after about 200-300 emails went out they all started bouncing each time, and I had a brand new domain that I made sure was not blacklisted before I bought it.

I believe it is set up on shared hosting, so I can only speculate but I think there were probably a bunch of people abusing the service or using it to spam and so their deliverability is pretty much shot.
