Wordpress Affiliate Plugin

I'm in the process of setting up a membership site with wordpress. I'm using paypall as my payment processor & want to sign up affiliates (without signing up to clickbank or jvzoo).* Is there a free WP plugin that tracks this?

I spent a day researching but can only find contest plugins that tracks opt-ins to a mailing list & not sales. *

      Something free has its obvious benefits...

      However, if you are going to sign-up affiliates, who you will eventually have to pay by divvying up the commissions, projected as we speak, would you trust a free plugin? Rather would it be wiser to invest in a more stable affiliate plugin where you can rely upon its tech support.

      It would be horrific to wake up one day and you go check on your affiliates' earnings to send respective payments, only to find out that the plugin has been hacked and the numbers--your affiliate sales, earnings, etc.--wiped out clean. And it has happened. How are you going to explain that to your affiliates?

    A good plugin is affiliate WP: https://affiliatewp.com/ Not free, but as the above poster said, there are dangers to free plugins.

    Another great affiliate plugin is from itthinx | Premium WordPress Themes and Plugins, (not affiliate link) it also allows for multi-tier payouts, i.e. multiple levels of team sales under referring affiliate.

    They have a free version also, with no multi-tier payouts.

    If you truly want to build a serious business and attract serious affiliates who will make you money, the you need them to feel safe about getting paid. That means getting something robust to run your affiliate program with. That's not likely to be free, but you get what you pay for.

    I'd recommend Nanacast or something similar.

    This will break down in three simple steps:
    1. WooCommerce integration with WordPress
    2. Subscription/Membership plugin integration with WordPress
    3. Payment Gateway (PayPal, or whatever you're going to use) with your WooCommerce Plugin

    These plugins offer way more features then you can imagine and you can track everything you want. For some additional features you might need to get some kind of pro version of these plugins but free version is good enough if you're just starting on this.
