Selling Multiple Products...

When you promote a product to your subscribers like an affiliate marketing introduction course do you continue to promote affiliate marketing courses to the list? or....

do you move onto another aspect of affiliate marketing? like list building.

If you have a segmented list on list building do you then promote multiple products on list building or do you just promote one list building course and leave it as is?

Q'n: Are you subscribers going to buy multiple products on your main offer and on segmented topics?

Do you go ahead and sale one product to start off and then promote launches as they become available?

Q'n: How do you go about selling multiple products concerning the same topic?

Use OTOs (upsell/downsell), then on the thank you page.

I forgot, it should be relevant to what they subscribed.

Of course the answer depends upon how comprehensive your introductory course happens to be. As long as you're not repeating yourself and going over already "plowed ground" there is room for another sale to someone that bought the intro course. I think the best approach is to carefully plan all the courses you may want to release on a particular topic so that one picks up where the previous one ended. With this sort of planning, you can encourage and lead into the purchase of the second course at the end of your introductory course.

That depends on the audience and the focus of your site. You should always give customers exactly what they want. So if this is a topic that your audience wants to learn about, and it's within the parameters or focus of your site, then sure, make it available to them.

Many Internet businesses make the majority of their profit on back end sales to repeat customers. If you have them, why wouldn't you want to promote additional products to a happy buyer? Again, plan your products to fit into a sequential series going from one sub-topic to another without repeating. Make the products high quality and with valuable information. Maybe even consider a small discount for repeat buyers as a way to reward them and encourage back end sales.

Don't confuse back end sales for multiple product sales from one main offer (as you call it). Offer one thing for sale in your promotion. Don't confuse the issue trying to sell several products from one offer. Sell one thing then come back again in a different offer and sell the next product in your sequence.

You can do this; but a better strategy, IMO, is to have a series of products ready so that you can sell them as the customer is ready for them. If a happy buyer completes your product in a few days, he may be anxious to get the next installment as soon as he's done. Some other buyers may take a month or more to get through a product. The point is, you cater to the customer's timetable by tracking his progress, asking how he is doing and if he needs help along the way. Remember, you're looking for buyers who will purchase again and again so it's worth spending some time on monitoring their progress and offering your help along the way.

It's pretty straightforward - especially if you've planned your products so that there is a logical sequence and one leads into another. Just remember that as the product creator and owner, you can lead buyers along a path that will give them learning and actionable content in a logical order that would best serve their interests. Don't hesitate to educate your customers on the order you believe they should buy your products and why. If they see you as the expert in the field, they will trust you to guide them in a logical buying sequence.

    Good luck,

    HI gjhabs8
I think it is counterproductive to offer everything to everyone, not to fill, disturbing, with the emails.
I would opt for a good organization of the list, a segmentation of it, according to the requests of the interested.

Yes. But it's a progression for me because my ultimate goal is to win my customers over with my information so that I can offer them life-altering results with my ebook consulting business.

But rest assured.... even if you DID offer them more products about affiliate marketing... a good amount of them would still buy it.

One major mistake people make, in my opinion, is to keep pushing new launches if the claim is that X is the best and then Y is the best and then Z is the best.

For example, I get an email on Monday about the absolute best way to increase traffic is to get a YouTube channel set up. On Tuesday I get an email about the absolute best way to increase traffic is to get a FB fan page set up.

Or on Monday I get an email about the be all and end all of affiliate training courses coming out and on Thursday I get another email about the be all and end all of affiliate training courses put out by someone else.

Those two examples happen all the time by people on this forum. In my opinion, it's clear that they can't be trusted in the sense that they are really trying to help. They are just saying whatever needs to be said to get a buck. People I can't trust don't get my money. Just saying.

When creating and promoting products think about specific offers for specific problems. Using the niche you gave "affiliate marketing" you can break that down into many different problems and solutions. How to find high paying offers, how to choose products to promote, How to choose a niche, how to build a list, how to promote offers to your list, etc. You can then tie each one of those things into affiliate marketing.

Also, many products have different angles. Just because it is an affiliate marketing course doesn't mean there isn't new information, new techniques, or new approaches to it. For example, one product might be one how to sell affiliate offers from a review blog while another might be about affiliate marketing with launch jacking. Both are affiliate marketing trainings but two different approaches.
