Hello everyone,

I am amazed at how ezine has went downhill, a year ago I could post an article in basic and have it published the next day, I have had 10 articles all written and submitted on 8/1 and they still haven't been looked at. I sent them an email yesterday and they still have not replied. What other article directories are you guys writting to?

    Very true...

GoArticles is solid. You may also consider putting some content on scribd, squidoo, hubpages, knol, etc...

Would have been just as easy to go read this thread for your answers... http://www.warriorforum.com/main-int...eza-first.html

Personally I would not waste my time waiting on EZA and I seriously hope you posted thos articles to your blog / site first.

There are many article directories out there way better than EZA and you can have your articles posted in no time at all...

So what if they're taking a while? Don't bother waiting around for them to be published.

It just means it gives you more time to write more

      - James.
P.S. ArticlesBase is generally pretty high-ranking in search engines lately too.

There is a fellow WF member here Allen Graves who has an article directory with many features better that EZA where you can add images and videos I believe. Do a search, there are alternatives to EZA.

I've heard lots of people lately say to forget about EZA - There are some other good directories out there to work with for sure...but, as of right now, there isn't one that can get you 50+ visitors a day from an article that you just posted.

If you are not getting massive traffic from EZA - Again I will say, you're doing it wrong

I agree Jeremy. There have been a few lately who have been telling others NOT to submit to EZA. I've stopped paying attention to those people because anyone who would tell me to stop submitting to the worlds most productive article submission platform must have ulterior motives or some clandestined path that I don't want to get anywhere near.

You don't have to love them. You don't have to agree with them. But you have to, in my opinion, submit to them.

Yes there are shortcomings with EZA, but weigh the pros and cons, dude! The writing is on the wall.

So they get half my traffic - that's a lot more traffic than I would get from any other article directory. And it is certainly more traffic than I would get not submitting to them at all!

Every day I check the obituaries. If I don't see my name there, then I know it's going to be a good day!

It is a fact that ezinearticles is probably the largest article directory at the moment. They get millions of visitors per month and a lot of persons on market using them.

I am not saying you should do that but right now they are a great asset to any article marketing business. Though there are other great directories as well.

      Check out buzzle.com
      goarticles.com
      articlebas.com
      articlealley.com
      amazines.com
      articlesphere.com
      searchwarp.com
      articledashboard.com

These are other directories that can rank well in the search engines as well!.

PS. from your post, you said a year ago you were basic and use o get fast approval times. So what is your status now? I am sure as a platimum member you would get approvals within 24- 48 hours or 72 max from experience.

After doing article marketing for over 5 years, a big factor that affects this type of marketing is the article itself, in terms of subject, title, trend and quality of information.
So, even if it's accepted quickly, doesn't mean you'll get maximum views.

Why do you want to stop submitting to EzineArticles just because the waiting time is longer? When you are upgraded to platinum status (after 10) articles, you will get faster approval time.

The fact that EzineArticles get more submissions is a good thing. Because article marketers recognize them as the best. And that the time taken is because human editors take time to go through the masses of articles.

My best article marketing results come from EzineArticles.

    But let's not stop there.

There are a ton of other article directories we can submit to.
That will add up to a hell lot more traffic/result.

Nowadays, you can just automate the article submissions, so
there is no reason not to leverage on all the great article directories
    out there.

    Jag

P.S Allen - nice article directory you got there. Will be sure to submit
    my articles to yours!

Ok but "human editors" approved this - How to Learn Effective and Useful Internet Marketing

No offense to the author whoever it is but personally I would never approved it as I see nothing informative about the article and I see a misleading title that tells you nothing about learning effective internet marketing...

My point is they will reject an article that would be very informative and non promotional just because it has the word "spinner" (like that is an evil word or something) but yet they would approve many articles such as the above that provides no real useful information at all ...

This is what you call the "best" ....

EZA is a tool that I would rather have in my arsenal than not.

Use it for what it is... I never find myself in a position to rely on the traffic, so if it takes a little longer to publish, that's cool by me.

    @The Op

Don't sit around waiting for EZA, get that content spread around on other properties and working for you.

Here's a few more places to get you started:

    1. Squidoo
    2. Hub Pages
    3. Buzzle
    4. Articles Base
    5. Search Warp
    6. Article Alley
    7. Amazines
    8. Go Articles
    9. Isnare
    10. Article Dashboard
    11. Article Snatch
    12. Idea Marketeers
    13. Article Click
    14. Article Insider
    15. Content For Reprint

I think Jay said it best - or at least his thinking most closely resembles mine here (sorry Jay :-)

While EZA is still worth submitting to - why submit an article and then sit on your duff wringing your hands until it's approved? While I don't think you really do that - who cares WHEN they publish it? Submit and move on.

If EZA takes 5 - 10 - 20 days to publish, big deal. Eventually this will catch up to them. I'm seeing Google indexing faster and faster these days and I'm sure other SEs are not far behind. No matter how may sites post your article only one will ever hold one position in the rankings at a time.

Personally I'd love to see Allen Graves' directory crush EZA. (Okay maybe not - more on that later) It wouldn't hurt my feelings to see James (RichJerksNet) directory competing with Allen's for the number one spot. I don't think either would care much who was number 1 or 2. Why would I like to see this? Because they both have top notch directories and have been very helpful to me in one way or another.

Then again, if they get too big, they may not be able to offer the excellent personal touch they do now - that is my caveat.

You would do well to read the post James pointed to earlier. I started re-reading it myself last night - there's a gold mine of information there. Start with the lists from Yesacpow and Jay. Build a list of directories to submit to and don't look back.

Sign up for James and Al's directories - they are both paid but low-cost. Each offers excellent value for the money. Al's memebeship comes with a great ebook he wrote himself. The information in that alone should more than pay for a lifetime subscription to his directory. Jeremy Kelsall offered an Article Marketing Bootcamp. It's very good, but I don't see it in his current offerings - he may have something better now.

There are lots more resources here in the forum - I can't possibly mention them all.

In short, submit to EZA or not - your choice, but either way submit to a host of other directories and take adavantage of alternatlve article marrketing techniques. And don't let anything stand in the way of your success.

    God bless,

    Andy

I have to agree with what other posters are saying here. Why so impatient? What is the big deal if you're articles take a week longer? They are still going to be indexed almost immediately by Google, whereas articles on many of the other directories can take weeks to be indexed, let alone make any impact on your sales.

I find that sales surges coincide exactly with when articles get published on Ezinearticles. So just keep writing and be patient. IMHO it is still the best article directory out there.

      Hey Andy,
Appreciate the mention and I am glad I could have been of some help to you..

As for being #1 on the totem pole, Allen is more than welcome to that spot as I have no desire to be the "top dog". I am more focused on providing the tools needed to help others build a business vs just having another article directory. It does not matter how big or how small my website is or will be I will always support my members and stand behind what I create 200% ....

Hey, thanks Andy! Don't know how I missed your post!

But we won't be #1 either because we have a 1,000 account cap that we will not go over. At least not for the foreseeable future. This allows us to maintain a level of support and education that the paying members are paying for.

I don't see EZA going away anytime soon. All of us second and third tier directories can just maintain our growth and have a LOT of patience.

But times change and rules change. You never know what's right around the corner.

That's what I'm finding out more and more. Once a technique becomes popular the rules change.
Squidoo, EzineArticles, Twitter, and Google have changed things up recently. Everything changes because people are promoting techniques or products that are picked up by more people who promote them. Then you end up with thousands of people who sell the same "fat loss" products on Squidoo.
Thousands of people submit articles to EZA's because that is what they are told to do if they want to make money online - no wonder it takes longer. I don't mind if it takes a week, I just move on and try to write another article while I wait.
I don't blame EZA for raising the standards for their articles. Some of the old articles are really baaaad! I just wish they would get rid of some them for dead links so the titles can be used again for new articles.
