Free site editor software?

Does anyone know of some good site editing software available for download online?

I am looking to get a new site going but I have been using Wordpress and was looking to create my own layout so I am in need of a site editor. I will be getting front page thursday but I just wanted to get started asap.

There is NVU or Kompozer available at nvu.com

Actually NVU is at net2.com/nvu/

and Kompozer is at kompozer.net/

The first link seems to be a portal page.
