Internet Marketing Radio Show - On Real Radio

I just wanted to share with you all some exciting news! At 9 AM Central time today I am kicking off my official Internet marketing radio show, and yes it is a real radio show on a real radio network. It broadcasts all over Oklahoma, so I am excited for the two people that will be listening, but it should be fun anyways...lol!

Since it is all my show I have total rights to the content, and I will be archiving the shows online and will be setting them up as my own podcast through iTunes. It should be a great list builder and an excellent way to get in the door with small businesses in the area because I have an instant credibility booster.

It should be a lot of fun. I am not going to give the name of the show, the website of the show, or any of that here so no one can accuse me of spamming with this post. I really am just excited and thought you of all people would appreciate the fact that there is going to be an official Internet marketing radio show on a real station, and not just BlogTalkRadio.com.

The topics I will cover are basically how individuals, businesses, and charities can generate profits through the Internet. So each show I will cover in depth plans of actions they can take. I will have other Internet marketers call in, and yes that could include a few Warrior Forum members...lol!

Like this first show I am showing them how to cash in with the college and pro football season coming up. The reason I am hitting sports is because my show comes on right before ESPN radio, so hopefully a few sports enthusiasts will listen in and get hooked!

Anyways should be fun, but just wanted to share with all of you awesome Warriors!

    Hi Paul,

    That's awesome! Congratulations!

I'm working on getting something going here in the Chicago suburbs. I've made some calls to the small radio stations (4 in total) and I'll see what happens.

If I can pull this off maybe I can buy your radio content as PLR! HA! :-)

    Again, so happy for you!

PM the website so I can listen!

    Regards,
    Dennis

      Dennis,

Thanks for the comment! That is cool you are getting something going in the Chicago area. It is really a cool tool that you can leverage to set yourself out there as an expert. Good for you for looking into that. Right now is a great time to be on the radio teaching people and businesses how they can make extra money in tough financial times.

LOL! I never thought of doing PLR with radio content...that is funny! I will PM you the website so you can get notified of the recordings.

The funniest part of it though is that to get it recorded I have to use a cassette tape for the recording. Their computers are even on the DOS operating system! So I have to convert my recordings from a casette to an MP3 with a special setup...so it may be a day or so delay in getting that live online, but will certainly get you that link...lol!

Good luck getting it going in your area Dennis!

Is it going to be a daily/weekly/monthly show?? Can you put the website/station call letters in your signature so we can figure it out? Otherwise would you mind shooting me a PM as well please?

And a big congrats to you!

It is going to be a weekly show that is running for the next 6 months at least. I will PM you with the details and the website. On there I will be archiving the recordings so my list and other people can hear that show that don't live in Oklahoma. Thanks so much for the congratulations...I really appreciate it!

    1. Get a website up for it. And build content like mad as you do the show (interviews and tips and stuff). Then as your content builds up, archive old articles, and set up a paid members section to access it. You can also monetize it by selling ads on the site.

    2. See if your radio network will do live streaming...and get a link to it. Then put show archives in the paid section...for more value for the paid membership.

    3. Don't be afraid to sell merchanside...it's free advertising for you...and a revenue stream.

    4. Also, make yourself available for live events....and put some of them on the show if you want.

    5. See if they will let you occasionally do the show 'on location' at various IM seminars around the country (should be easy enough with webcasting software). Work it out with the seminar itself, and see if they will let you do an interview or two while there.

Sounds like you got a break...run with it!

      Floyd,

Thanks for the feedback! These are all incredible ideas here! Wow, much appreciated! I will be setting up a website for this with the first page being a squeeze page, and will have a backend blog. I am also planning on outsourcing and having my shows transcribed to create some massive written content for blogging or other article marketing.

Great idea on having a paid members area!

They won't do live streaming, so I have to be creative to even record my show because they can only record on a cassette tape...lol! It is Oklahoma!

The live event strategy is brilliant! Thanks again for this awesome feedback!

I wouldn't do the squeeze page thing. Better to do either a popup, or a just a signup box on the page.

        The reason is twofold:

        1. Requiring a squeeze page before entering the free website will tick off your visitors in this case.

        2. You may get penalized by search engines, which could backfire on you. Remember, your main goal is to get people to listen to your show, building the list is second.

What I would do is offer a copy of show notes in exchange for the email. That alone should be incentive enough to give out the email. And make sure you tell your listeners about this service as well.

If you want to check out how to really do this right, goto www.rushlimbaugh.com and study what he does. You can learn a ton from the capo di tuti of the vast right wing conspiracy about monetizing a website, even if you hate his political views.

Do let us know how to get it on itunes. This will definitely be added to my nightime listening list. It's a very exciting project. I wish you the best of luck with it.
