What's your favorite blog layout?

3 columns or 2 columns, and what side do you have the ad space on?

Any reasons as to why?

My favorite one right now is what I use at http://www.virtual-coach.com .

Sidebar for important stuff, header for more important stuff, automatic squeeze pages, etc.

My favourite is 3 columns because I like the layout better and I personally think it allows more room to separate and organise categories, archives and sponsor ads, so that they look neat. I currently am using a 3 column customised template for my blogger blog.

I like two-column layouts better - in most cases, the third column feels like something redundant - but this is just me I guess . In fact I believe the final decision will arrive as soon as you try and arrange all the bits of functionality on your blog.

I love the seo features of Apathula (may be spelled wrong "sorry") I also like lightword, although it seems to be over used a lot lately.

I like 2 column layouts better. It just looks cleaner to me. 3 column designs are just too cluttered for my liking.

I personally think 3 is too much. I think it is better to have the ad in the left column because the eye alawys goes from left to right when it checks out a screen - this is what I heard anyway.
