Is Fiverr still alive?

People are still making lot of money over there. The market is alive and kicking, don't think the competition is too overwhelming but a particular service might have lot of sellers.

Because now, instead of hundreds selling the same crap, thousands are selling the same crap. People just need to make their crap smell better than everyone elses

Fiverr is great platform for things that can be automated and done in a few minutes. In its early days, it used to be pretty easy getting work there. Now, there are SO many people selling the same stuff, it's difficult to be seen unless you have a highly rated gig. You have to actually market your gigs.

Which brings me to my next point... Why spend the energy promoting someone else's platform? Wouldn't that energy be better spent promoting and marketing your own website/business? Especially since for the most part, unless you are using some black/grey hat tactics, it's very difficult to get noticed as a new user.

This is not to say you cannot get noticed with a new gig. However, your gig has to be DIFFERENT/UNIQUE from the crowd. That way, you have a better chance of being seen/featured.

Just be different and have keyword friendly title and description of your gig.

Fiverr is definitely still alive and poppin. My only beef with Fiverr is that you can make money quickly, but the automation factor isn't there, plus.... it's almost like a "home job". We already know that one of the fastest ways to make money online is by selling services. But with each service you provide - no matter the price.... you sacrifice time. But to answer your question... YES, Fiverr is good and alive. Be versatile and diversify your skills. And make sure your services are top notch. If you can offer a money back guarantee on your services, do it. This will boost sales also.

Definitely is touch than how it was 2 years back but you can apply your own twist to get your sales.

Yep, the website is still up.

One thing that really annoys me with the latest Fiverr member's area update, is that they no longer allow you to see your gigs that you manually added a "star" rating to.

What I use to be able to do was order a bunch of articles, and click the "star' button beside each article. When I would receive the finished gig and posted that particular article, I use to be able to remove its "star" status, easily letting me know that I have indeed utilized that particular gig.

Now I have to click on the order to see if it is "starred" or not. I can no longer easily see it from the member's area.

I submitted a support ticket about this and received this response...

i rarely get orders anymore when there used to be a steady stream. Plus some things about fiverr aren't so great. my top gig, with tons of great ratings, got paused because they didn't like the picture. Changed it about 5x and they still won't approve it.

Try promoting the url to you service.

You'll make a lot more money taking your gigs off of Fiverr and learning how to market them yourself. I had some gigs on Fiverr a few years ago that made only a few hundred dollars a month. When I marketed them myself off of Fiverr, they made over $2,000 a month, plus with the added benefit of building a list that I made even more money from.

When your income depends on the traffic to a platform you don't own, you are at the mercy of the owners of that platform. A modern-day serfdom. Not the best approach for creating an online business, but not a bad way to start doing something and making that initial income and gaining some experience.

You should have a goal to transition away from Fiverr eventually. Dependency on Fiverr sucks ass.

I'm going to repeat what a few have already said now.

Learn to market your services yourself, you'll reap much bigger rewards if you do. People selling
services on Fiverr are not willing to market their services themselves and therefore have no choice
but to sell low. If you go out there and find clients yourself, you will see that they can pay you much
more than a Fiverr gig is priced, plus you get the added benefit of building a one-on-one relationship
with your client, improving your chances of getting repeat orders.

Another profitable tip is to do Fiverr Arbitrage. Market your services to clients at a higher price, but
instead of doing the work yourself, you just pay someone from Fiverr to do it and you end up with
a nice profit. You can thus broaden the range of services that you offer.

I have to ask myself is the website name really appropriate? Because after they grab their percentage from your sale aswell as Paypal your left with little less than their namesake. This site has become degraded by sellers making irresponsible claims such as getting you tons of followers or fans on different types of social media - for $5....... really!!?? This has contributed to damaging buyer trust and Fiverr's rep. in my opinion.

Also, many non-genuine sellers purchase from their own accounts to make themselves look good by leaving themselves good feedback making it harder for genuine ones to be found in the search results. That is probably why you are finding it difficult.

If I was you I would consider other methods of making money if you can, as you acquiring gigs very much depends on the feedback that you get, which is very hard to get on there, especially with so many non-genuine sellers.

If you still want to stick with them, my advice would be to open and explain clearly what your offering to customers (some people seem to expect miracles for the price on that site). You definitely don't want a gig that's too long winded for the price.

I outsource some of my small projects through clients on Fiverr. Getting noticed to get a gig is a task in itself!

Yeah it still exist. Though I have recently not receiving orders at all. Maybe I need to review my keywords and update my gig description.
