Ho do you find Marketers willing to work with you as a developer?

Hello fellow warriors.

I've learned a valuable lesson over the last year. That is that out here on the web it's silly to build anything until you know you have demand for it. There are techniques that an be used to discover if there is real demand up front before ever writing a line of code.

Ofcourse, this means doing the marketing up front. Typically, I have marketers approach me wanting some form of software written that they can then market. I'd like to take the reverse approach.

Does anyone have experience finding marketers interested in working with you on this approach? If so, where/how did you make it happen.

Thanks in advance for any advice you have to offer.

    Hey dad2four,

When I released my first product, I was a complete noob haha
I never did a "launch" (still don't btw), never recruited affiliates etc and just put it out there for the world to see. I learned SEO, and got my site to the first page of google and that's where it all started.

I now have a 24K userbase using that piece of software daily, and basically jump on every offer I give them. Moral of the story: Try to do it all yourself. Altough it's hard, you can always fall back on the knoweldge you gain and go from there.

    Hope this helps!
    Cheers,
    Aron
