PREDICITON: 10,000,000 New Millionaires By 2016 (USA)? The Age Of The Entrepreneur?

Ex- Presidential Economic advisor to 2 United States Presidents says 10,000,000 new millionaires will be created by 2016 (US alone) in direct selling, home based businesses, technology, etc.

It sure does. And he does have some authority in his subject area for what he has accomplished so far.

You say he can't make a prediction... But he actually did just that in the 90's and he was right. If he was right then, is he right now? Who knows?

If that many people are millionaires than we have a problem....a million dollars wont be worth what its worth today....the money will have less value...isn't that how it works?

Yeah the money should have less value, but so what? The million dollars now isnt worth what it was 20 years ago, but I would still like to have a million dollars..

Yeah, but if it falls significantly in value, being a millionaire could make you middle-class or low-income, and not the status it brings you today (or 20 years ago).

I mean, if a million dollars buys you a rusty old van down by the river, you may be a millionaire, but you're still living in a van down by the river!

I see what you mean and Im no economist that can predicate what it would or could be worth then. But if a million dollars is going to be low class in 8 years, then a lot of people will have problems.

You are right, that's called inflation. BUT, inflation could be headed off IF the divide between rich and poor can continue to be increased. In other words, no new money would have to be created if the distribution of wealth continues to accumulate in the hands of the wealthy few. It would be a very grand time indeed to be one of those millionaires and have a HUGE class of people chasing your dollars with their labor.

We have already set a record, according to some historians, in that our divide between rich and poor is greater "than it was in the days of plutocratic Rome." No reason we can't take it even higher!

I believe the book stated the gap would get bigger... but i may be wrong.

I think its safe to say that the internet, technology, and direct selling have all contributed to many more new millionaires these past few years and years to come, but how many will actually benefit?

That's understandable and true and this has been said many times. I do not have control over inflation, but I can control weather I take advantage of the opportunities that are here.

People complain about the "doom and gloom" of a recession in the US and that times are rough, but the truth is- more millionaires are predicted to be made in the next 10 years than in the history of the US since the 1700-1800's.

I know Joe Vitale did an interview with him and you can probably find it online somewhere. He also shows his formula for wealth which is W=PxT. Which states "Wealth equals Physical Resources times Technology."

An interesting point to this. There isn't actually PHYSICALLY enough currency for everyone to take out the cash value of what they supposedly have.

Much of our economic structure is strictly electronic.

For there to be 10,000,000 (ten million) millionaires requires 10,000,000,000,000 (ten trillion) dollars. As of December 2007 only $829 billion dollars in physical U.S. currency is in circulation. Which means that if all of these 10 million new millionaires wanted to have their cash at one time, there is about 8% of the amount of currency available to fill that demand.

In a slightly different perspective, The US National Debt is presently 5,530,928,205,885.99 USD debt owned by the public and another 4,153,864,405,618.78 USD debt owned by various governmental trusts and other such funds, for a total of 9,684,792,611,504.77 USD. Which is about 315 billion dollars shy of the number of dollars that the 10 million new millionaires would have to have in total. (For those keeping track this debt means the US effectively owes every dollar in circulation about 11.6 times.)

I do realize for ten million millionaires there needs to be 10 trillion dollars, but according to research, in 2007, the net US household wealth was estimated at 57 Trillion dollars. Something to think about...

Actually, Pilzer is an interesting fellow. He lives in Park City, Utah - not in a gated community, and he teaches classes on economics and entreprenuership to the local high school kids.

Some of the kids come from families in which both parents work two jobs just to make ends meet, and some of the kids come from families who live in the many local gated communities.

Yeah 2012 is the last year on the calendar, but that doesnt mean its the end of the world. Many of the Mayans calendars were destroyed when the (spanish?) invaded them and killed them. The reason why it ends is because the calendar was destroyed, so we don't know what happens after that.

I think Pilzer is also a college professor as well and has his own businesses. Seems like a smart individual...

Never heard that before, but im sure there are many different theories about 2012. I know I've read from scientists and saw on TV that in 2012 their is suppose to be a shift and change with the sun.. Maybe sun (flares?).. Either way, I hear its possible because of the sun in 2012 we may have a black out of our electronics... Its happened before..
