Money from Twitter?

Hi,

Is anyone making any real money from Twitter?

If so can you give me an idea of how?

I've seen a lot of stuff promoting this area and it interests me but I don't know anyone who is and wondering if it's really possible.

    Yes.

    I personally make money from Twitter in several ways:

    1 - From multiple accounts in different niches I'm in where I share useful information from central 'authority' blogs. I use those blogs to sell products and build lists.

    2 - I get traffic to my personal blog and websites directly from people checking out me and my sites after following me.

    3 - I get consulting work from people who realise I know what I'm talking about and want me to help them/their business

    4 - I've been offered speaking gigs from Twitter followers

    5 - JV offers and partnerships offers

    6 - Direct sales of a very high ticket software product from one of my businesses

    All in all, Twitter has been very useful to me financially and in other ways too:

    1 - Met well-known people I wouldn't have otherwise
    2 - Made friends
    3 - can keep up with friends in other countries without chasing their blogs/emails
    4 - Found interesting new niches and products/services

    I must be doing it wrong.... All I get is spam complaints and I haven't even promoted anything?!?!!!?!!

    i can't help but noticing that most followers are there to try and promote their business opp, in other word i have not seen a lot of individuals on twitter or rather followers who ask for questions help, etc, the guys i see already "know what they are doing" and belive they have all the answers, so perosnally i do not like twitter in regrds with marketing
