Default Google checkout for Digital Goods - preparing the file

I'd like to sell an audio file on my site.
I'm using Google Checkout to set up the 'buy now' button and instant delivery.

It's about 60 mb in size (3 different files).

Google checkout asks for the URL (Enter the location of the file you are selling access to.)

I'm lost in this step.
Where would I upload the file to have the url?
Also, should I consider compressing it into a zip?

Thanks

Never used Google Checkout but I think it's asking is the page where the file is located, not the direct url to the file. So this would be the thank you page after they've ordered and where you provide the links to download the files.

And yes, DEFINITELY zip the audio files. Also, you may want to use a service such as Amazon S3 to host your audio files instead of hosting them on your own server. It's very cheap and could save you a good chunk of change depending on your hosting provider.

I found it was easiest to upload the files to e-junkie first and then use Google Checkout as the payment processor. It works well with Google Checkout and is very easy to set up, if you haven't tried them before. And I would definitely compress the files.

URL = www.yoursite.com

Google Checkout is asking for your website address where you will be selling your product or service. No need to upload anything. I have uses Google Checkout for over two years now.

I use the product I developed in my signature along with paypal. I am planning on opening the membership doors soon but if you would like to get a free membership I can set you up with one. The only thing I would ask is honest feedback and recommendations.

Send PM if Interested

Hi Mynt,

It's really really easy if you use e-junkie for this purpose. Use "EASYE-JUNKIE" when registering as the coupon code. It will give you 67 days free with them. Not only will be the delivery be instant but also the download page is protected. For example, the download page expires in 48 hours(you can change this). You can PM me for help, but since I am having tight schedule, the response won't be quite fast. I will try my best!

Take care!

G'day,
Akhil
