Have you tried clicking through your own hop links to the purchase page to see if you are listed as an affiliate. Your username should be right at the bottom in the footer in the centre. If it is then your traffic is just not converting, if not then get CB has a problem and you should contact their support.

I'm really interested to hear from more people about this as I've been considering putting a product of my own up on Clickbank in the near future.

there are no "clickbank updates"… they ran a test for a short time with SOME vendors, it didn't go well… they stopped it and have been revamping things.

My sales are down too across the board. Prior to Sept 23 (when they introduced that banner thing), I was doing very well with multiple sales a day. After that point -- and for the past 6 weeks or so -- I'm converting at less than one-fifth of what I usually do (I'm talking evergreen products here and good quality traffic).

Doesn't matter that CB decided to pull the banner in one day, but they sure messed up something in the background (tracking? hoplinks?) that caused conversions to dive -- at least in my niche.

Anyway, I've decided to move away from CB. Their platform isn't what it used to be.

      Hi,
Since this thread is Related to "problem with clickbank !!".... I thought it right to post my problem with clickbank......

Just a couple of weeks ago CB suspended my account with them.
I've contacted their support. Got reply "Someone tried to Buy from your link from a country where using clickbank is not authorised"

I Opened my second account... Just after two days.. Suspended.
Reason?? "We are assuming that the Customers who are trying to buy from your link will claim "charge-back". So to minimise cahrge-back / refunds we've suspended your account"

Are these valid reasons for suspending accounts??

      Thanks

I think Clickbank doing so much & become stricter is to protect customers, vendors & affiliates.

The branded header, they tried to implement but according to the latest I know from their REP, they are pulling it off & won't be implement it.

I've been considering putting a product of my own up on Clickbank in the near future.
If I were you I would strongly consider other options.

    Affiliates frequently complain about
this and try to blame other factors, including Clickbank, instead of their own marketing practices.
After years and many thousands of dollars in commissions, I walked away from CB because they royally screwed my account and then just blew me off.

Is CB dead? No, but it's experiencing it's death throes.

Any update on this, I`ve had 561 hops on a particular product that was converting well, not one sale in a few weeks.

It's not a problem with Clickbank. Check your links as suggested by Diane (post #2). You may also be experiencing viewer fatigue, which is relatively common for higher gravity products. Consider adjusting your marketing for other traffic sources.

...or maybe he is promoting offers that have recently added the ClickBank "trust badge" to their site.

I don't think you're in a position to make this assumption, as (unlike yourself) he is most likely referring visitors to the vendors sales page rather than directly to the ClickBank order form.

Au contraire, my poor Clickbank-jaded friend. Although nearly all of my own affiliate links do indeed by-pass vendors' sales pages, a significant number of my Clickbank sales are also through JVs. I have seen that some traffic sources (ie search engines) can become stale, particularly where competition is stiff.

Another pattern I've seen is a sudden increase in "nuisance" traffic (under 30 seconds onsite) among some clients which seems to indicate an interest in how the trust badge is implemented. This traffic certainly cannot be considered to be anything close to being targeted visitors.

This really is not all that unusual for a weight loss product. But for this and similarly competitive markets, I would suggest using an online/offline direct marketing approach such as infousa.com

I admit I direct to sales page but I use to make sales even directing there. I have considered redirecting to order form but considering the disadvantages I made the idea rest. Do you suggest I redirect to order form instead regardless? @Myiop read your post about redirecting and cookie stuffing in another thread. Do you still recommend it? Will give infousa a try also.

I have never recommended cookie stuffing, especially with Clickbank. Such marketing practices can get your account banned. If there ever was such a statement by me, whether direct or implied, I stand corrected.

And redirecting traffic directly to Clickbank's payment page (by-passing vendor sales pages) is a common practice among some top Clickbank affiliates, although it technically requires explicit permission from each vendor.

    "Since 20 days"...

Have you checked the calendar? We're in January.

You're talking about the last days of December and the first week of January. Common sense: sales will slow down.

This is the basic for someone that wants to sell something online.

Ad exhaustion is really a thing, so is offer exhaustion.

Going from 10 sales a week to none doesn't automatically scream technical glitches to me, 55 or so products later I've seen it all as a vendor with my aff's problems. The few things my guys would do (and sometimes it would work/prove there IS indeed an issue) included starting a new account just for a few days and switching their AFFID to the new account. Sometimes the new account would yield sales right away, as if the old account got put into a high risk status or runs through a different server - or alternatively new accounts got clean status before that first big batch of traffic went in.

Also their RMS used to fire false positives (Risk Management System) blocking sales from certain credit cards, or number batches on a specific card (say all Visa's that end in xxx or start with xxx, etc), or regions, or aff's maybe, I don't know what variables it touches but it was a thing back in the day. Or even buying the darn thing with your own affid and screencap it in video so you can catch the glitch in a live environment if the cookie doesn't fire yet your affname is on the bottom of the checkout page (clear your cookies before you do this, if you already have a cookie set from before, and you misfire, you'll still see your name on the bottom).

If it was a newish offer you were promoting, evergreen or not, and the charting for the product is on its downward trend heavy OR spiking a lot still, you might just be in way too much of a competitive niche that others flew past you in, and now their content/reviews/campaigns are getting the last click not you, or the offer is drying up and it wasn't a long lifecycle to begin with (check marketplace analytics type sites).

If you've gone from 1-2 sales a day to nothing, there's 1001 reasons why that might be happening and it may not matter what you do, you just got in at the right time before it got too tough.

Just theories, but I spent a lot of time with my aff's when they had problems like this. Going direct to the order page and bypassing the vendors page is risky, you have to show all the disclaimers/policies/refund notices/badges etc that the vendor does and if you can outsell them with a better pitch all the power to you but I doubt that will change things it's still the same cookie being dropped and bought from just in a different sequence (err same sequence just bypassing and automating the redirect).

    And:

Not true at all - Dec. 25th is my biggest day of the year, biggest week, and biggest month, 6 yrs running. Just depends on the niche, fitness/weightloss for instance do die a bit during Dec. - but are HUGE right now/new years res etc.

Abdullah you might just have to create your own products, and market them with a payment processor other than Clickbank on your own website. Plus there are other affiliate platforms that you can use too. JVzoo is popular also. Check them out.

I myself had a not-so good impression of Clickbank. I was about to start a contract with a client on the website I was working with when I found out in the process that she uses Clickbank to monitor sales. I checked on some reviews about it and read terrible comments making me to decline the offer. Lucky I was able to think right despite my excitement to start the contract.

Sounds like a conversion problem with the product your promoting. Really consider looking into something to promote or moving affiliate network altogether.
