I think it's a little too early to start blasting my lists with gift ideas.

BUT SOON.

This season is ridiculous, apparently Christmas wasn't enough so marketers created black Friday and new years sales to triple up.

That's pretty pessimistic, you could buy ads and start an email list the day before. If you mean SEO, I still think it's worth it to start new sites now, you can surely build up some rankings by then, it might not be great but you'll make money.

It is not pessimistic, it is reality. What you are talking about is reacting to the fact that Christmas is around the corner, not getting ready for the holiday sales. Getting ready means researching what will be the hot sellers this year, writing articles/reviews for your site, making header graphics for your site and social media pages, and the list goes on.

What you say is true. I can throw up a site in a few hours and start sending paid advertising at it anytime I want, but that is not getting ready, it is like I said...reacting

I love how my post where I posted KW data about a Christmas related niche site I could rank on in 1 week got deleted.

I can have all of things you're describing outsourced and done by the end of the week. I could get 30 niche sites built and ranking before Christmas as well. You seem to be saying "well if you're not already prepared then it's not worth reacting." To be completely fair about this, if you wanted maximum earnings, well then I think you're years behind in preparation. Obviously you should be digging up the past 10-15 years of data and figuring out what's going to work from that information while appending this years data.

Why you're even hinting that "it's too late" I have no idea. Is this an attempt to demotivate or defeat people? It's not going to work on me for sure. I'm about to launch 30 sites just to prove a point to myself.

People spend ridiculous amounts of money particularly during holidays. It's not too early to begin working on next year's Super Bowl week, Valentines Day, Mothers' Day, Fathers' Day, Back to School, Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, etc. And the grandaddy of them all is expected to be the 2016 Summer Olympics.

I started preparing myself for Christmas since the year began. My business is running each and every hour so that means I dont have to officially start making money for Christmas. Yes, Christmas Is a great month since it is the occasion that brings family and friend together. being able to spend time together and just be able to share the achievements made as they look into the new year. I first want to come up with some e-gifts that can be bought and send to that friend or any loved one through the email or even social media. Al hit it on the money. Im not vested in any holiday Niches or Niches really that would be specifically targeted towards people during the holidays ( except weight loss)

But it is really best to start 'ramping' this stuff up with ideas and have a Plan in place by August, latest September.

Just my two cents based on my experience

jan more into fitness , health related stuff....always the trend every one know that.

but yup , jan IM stuff related to earn money online suffer..but I doubt so sometimes....

I would be inclined to say Campaigns... i.e Bing, Adwords.

As far as traditional Sites ? A little late in my opinion to be starting a whole new Site geared towards the Holidays. I remember when I did Amazon X- mas Sites a few years ago I started in August

Christmas is indeed drawing close, it start with thanksgiving which is on the 26th. The the 27th is Black Friday and it goes and on. People buying and others selling to maximize the rush and deals out there. Shops and already decorating and offering great deals and discounts. I guess as an internet marketer, there's no better time to start than now. It's really never too late if you know how to drive targeted traffic. Good luck to everyone.
