Default I'm worried about theft

I worry that if I start creating eproducts that they will get copied and given out, reworded and reposted, refund cheats, etc. I worry that this means I have to keep producing new products to keep replenishing inventory, and that this work will just become a different job. I have a good job already, but of course I'd like to work less for the same income...

Unfortunately there is no way to 100% stop this from happening. It is something we all have to deal with. The best thing to do is keep making your products the best you can. Some people will always be dishonest, but thankfully most people are honest and good.

Wow slow down there Seabiscuit.....

First of all if you're selling digital products you don't have any "inventory" to keep or have to restock.

Second of all is just part of doing business online if you concentrate on your fears and anxieties about theft and ripoffs you'll never get anywhere.

Third there are ways to protect yourself and your products on all aspects of doing online business.

Will this prevent 100% of theft? No.

But nothing is 100% even in the off-line world.

So the best thing to do is just take the necessary precautions to protect your business and your products and go on from there.

Hey bro,

chill, at first, i used to have the same midset like you have now..

Over the years i learnt that opportunities now dies, and you shouldnt worry about petty things like this.

I can tell you from my experience that for every 1 who rips from you, there is 10 more out there who are more ethical and willing to buy from you and pay you for your service..

Chill and go for the home run ! :- )

Most of the people who "steal" your ebook wouldn't have bought it in the first place. You're really not losing that much when they get it this way.

There are going to be some headaches. It's like that in any business.

Don't crush your potential for success by worrying about potential bad apples.

The world is full of idiots, but it is also full of innumerable good people.

There are affiliate links in my books for other products that may be useful to the reader. While I'd rather sell books than give them away, the bottom line for me is this:

I make more money when more copies are out there.

They will get copied, and IM is a job.

Doesn't matter what kind of information product you sell; you can't prevent 100% against copying. Books get copied. DVDs get copied. Designer goods get copied.

Maybe you'll lose some sales because people will be able to find it free from some copycat site. But, think of it another way:

You will lose 100% of the sales of the eProducts you never create if you worry about the smaller percentage of sales you'll lose due to unauthorized copying!
