I mean the whole Internet is an unlimited source of content that could be turned into videos.
For example, I see an nice article on Ezine Articles (or anywhere else on Internet basically) that could be easily resumed in a how-to video in less than 2 minutes. Then, the original author/professional must've sweated blood and tears to write it. Here I am simply swiping it, taking the big lines and resume it Reader's Digest Selections-style on video. Should I feel bad? Can I do it? What's the copyright/legal situation in this? Kinda grey zone, yes? ![]() ![]()

What is copyright protected is the form of expression. So if you regurgitate someone else's work word for word then you infringe their rights.
However, if you use other people's articles as a source of ideas and present the material in your own words, then you should be safe. The ideas are not protected, only the way they were presented. Ivan |
