Wordpress Thrive Theme - Amazon Affiliate Link No Follow issue

So...I'm using a wordpress theme called thrive themes which has these short code features. one of the features creates CTA buttons. The issue with these short code / wordpress themes is that it's extremely limited.

For instance, when I use this feature (CTA button), I can add text and the URL. Well, the problem is that I want to add my amazon affiliate link with the no-follow tag. However, I talked to their support and they said that's not possible. Therefore...

How important is it to have a NOFOLLOW amazon affiliate link tag? Because I notice I can just get the regular link hxxp:/amazon.com/gp/product/B0007RALHS/ref=as_li_qf_sp_asin_il_tl?ie=UTF8&camp=1789&creat ive=9325&creativeASIN=B0007RALHS&linkCode=as2&tag= hehzhezhz-20&linkId=FZW5ULGZA3X4VEDS

Or do I NEED the nofollow tag? What are the drawbacks with this? Let me know. Thanks!
