Looking for a product(s) to sell

Hi all,

I'm looking for a product or products to sell at a local market. Top of my list at the moment is a network marketing company but, the product is kind of rubbish and it's really expensive. So I think I need to keep looking.
I thought some warrior members out there might have some good suggestions for me? Perhaps it's a product that is already selling well for you online and you think might also sell well offline, in any case suggest away!

Thanks :-)

Is there a certain style of product you're looking for? I'm currently working on an eBook that will have an eCourse to go along with it if the reader chooses to take it after learning from the eBook. This is about building a list as well as creating a certain funnel system to capture leads while earning some money.

The focus is to build a targeted list of buyers, which is fairly difficult if you don't know what you're doing or how to program a system that compliments it's components well.

Now I'm thinking film might work, a lot of local people in my area have websites, but they don't have any multimedia on their site. Maybe putting some demo videos together that they can see and selling them packages so they can have digital media on their site.

    Avon??

I know a manager at a grocery store who used to make money selling elaborate straw-baskets at flea markets. High cost & time, low profit. I told her she should consider ebay and direct mail. Everybody knows about ebay, and she's never heard of direct mail... so she thinks i dont know crap about marketing.

    I said ok.

That was 8 months ago. Now she's trying to start a career working in a hair salon.

Anyway, these were just some ideas for you. You can always buy some jewelry at real wholesale prices and make money with those. Depends on how hard you want to work everyday.

What about a service, instead of a real product or products? If your target market has website for their business and has no multimedia yet, you can offer them a service to create it for them. This can be a part of marketing service, and you can go further with it. I think a service is better than a real product for them if we talk about something we can offer to provide their website improvement.

Jewelry I like that idea, thanks Randall! I'm going to check out some prices on alibaba and ebay. Anyone else know of where to get Jewelry at wholesale prices for resale?
Jewelry could work well because we could build a website to go with the stand and people can order online if they don't buy on the day.

If you want to make serious profits you need to buy direct from the manufacturer. Alibaba is not the place to go to find them. Most of the "manufacturers" listed on Alibaba are opportunist traders.

I suggest you consider small manufacturers in Hong Kong or Taipei rather than the big jewelry factories in China.

There is a type of jewelry that is not widely known and when I finish this post I will PM you with the details. I don't sell it, and in fact I am a retired importer that handled that type of product among others.

What kind of market is this? There may a local wholesale district that you can visit and buy any variety of low cost merchandise that sells well. I have taught people how to do this for years.

Resale items sell well for cash...you can source these in your neighborhoods

Finally you can source through closeout retailers, and wholesale sources online that sell in small
quantities.. pm me if you need help

I dont know about your location but if you are in my location, groceries would do great for you. or just start farming. Farming is the backbone of any society. With good strategy you could become a millionaire very first. you could grow herbs which are high in demand both locally and internationally. thank you

Sell affiliate products offline. Using online tracking links and order forms.

People here do direct bulk mailings for physical products and services like (satellite tv, solar panels, etc...)

But, they simply 'incentivize' their offerings with "Free $100 Gift Card" - enter code: Go 100 or "Save $1500 on Solar Home Installation Package" - Enter code: SOLAR1500 or visit solar1500.c o m/Special-Offer.

In essense, you can 'sell' physical products (or services) without needing to purchase, ship, inventory or handle the transactions at all... Why re-invent the wheel?

Also, you could look into drop shipping, but the margin of profit can be tough to find quality offerings at sellable pricing.

Ultimately, you can get advice here...but, if you don't do your own research, chances are you won't have much success, as we can only guess what you feel will suite your customers.

The more research you conduct, the better the odds you'll "know the following" well enough to make a successful run at getting sales.

    Good luck

Jewelry sells at swap meets and flea markets as long as you have the hot trendy styles. Remember "Y" necklaces? I made a small fortune with those in the "90s."

The vendors I always see at my local market with the longest lines are the ones that sell "food on the go" such as sausage on a bun and stuff like that.

Yes! We are actually giving this "food on the go" idea a test spin this weekend and see how it goes. The problem being that it would only be a 1 day a week business, or if we were lucky we might find a 2nd marketplace and run it 2 days a week.

Ideally this business would be 5-7 days per week. So we would be looking to sell face to face 1 or 2 days a week and then have orders come in the rest of the week through a website.
Randall's idea of selling jewelry seems to fit this model well. I would still welcome other suggest of ideas and products that might work better. Also if you have any ideas about training products that might help us avoid pitfalls, I'd be interested in those too!

You'd probably want to look into dropshipping, get items at a low price and market them without any up front stock costs.

Try looking for manufacturers of the item types you want to sell and get in contact with them and see if they offer dropshipping.
