Quality vs TAT vs Price--How Do You Choose a Writer?

Hello Folks,

There are many writing services in the Warrior Forum, as I can see.

For an Internet Marketer, or a webmaster, CONTENT is Stan Lee. ) He is the One Above All who can kill or make superheroes. Without Content, there is only Void.

Yeah, hell with the nonsensical melodramatic. Sorry to have wasted 5,000,000 of your brain cells there. Just wanted to sound cool for a sec.

So anyway, when you hire a writer, what is the MOST important thing to you?

Many would say quality, some who are working on a budget would say price, and some who are in a hurry would choose TAT.

I should create a poll for this, but hey, a conversation on this would be nice.

What do you look for when choosing a writer:

1. Quality over Turnaround time over Price -- Quicksprout level content, 5 days for 2000 words, $80

2. Turnaround time over Quality over Price -- 24 hours TAT 5000 words, high quality content, $100

3. Quality over Price over Turnaround time -- Quicksprout level content, $50, 7 days for 2000 words

4. Price over Quality over Turnaround time -- $50 for 5000 words, Quality content (Ezine level), 3 to 5 days TAT

5. Turnaround time over Price over Quality-- 24 hours, $75 for 5000 words, Ezine Level Quality

I'm excited to see your input.

For me, what's most important in a writer is comprehensibility. I had to re-read your post three times, and still don't understand all of it. (The above snippet is just one example; it may be "obvious" to you, but I have no idea what you mean.)

As for tats, I really don't care what a person has chosen to do to their own skin, as long as they are able to deliver what they claim they will.

If I were to hire a content writer it would be quality over everything else. However, when building a business, you should be writing the content as it is your story and your expertise the audience wants.

A great idea though is to hire a talented editor. Neil Patel of Quicksprout has an editor, he said in an interview once, though I forget which podcast.

Many of the world's best authors have great editors. Not only will they save you time, they will help you craft content better than anything you could have previously.

True, but a great editor won't help an inexperience writer much.

As for the question in this thread, I see no reason to choose anything else than quality. Poor content doesn't engage and convert, so even if it costs $5, it's still a waste of money. Sure, there are exceptions, but those are rare and most people won't be able to identify them.

      • Lee wrote Spidey way back.

Heroes then were machismonoids on the romp.

        But Spidey got heart.

Spun himself cool webs, real uncool problems.

His power made him one of us.

50 years on, he is still with us.

        His content value defies contentiousness.

So: quality smackdowns price an' turnaround every time.

Fixes both with a generative stare gonna flame the f*ck on.

Invite quality into your future wherever you find it, or you are a frickin' moron forever spun out on nowheretrash.

Not sure about yr figures here, but catalystonishment kinda sets its own rates, moves at its own pace.

I love that Lee rocks out as a bit part in his own movies.

    Hi Adele

I would copy what you have written here into notepad , then I would delete this thread and start over with a better thread name , the one you have does not mention that you are a writer but a Warrior who may be complaining about some crap product

Its easy to delete a thread , just click on the edit tab there you will see a delete tab once you have clicked that if you look to the right of the box you will see do you want to delete just click yes .

It not just asked the mods to nuke the thread , but do re write the tab name and just post what you have in the notepad as there are some great writers on the forum who will give you the right advice.

It called the "Project management triangle".

You are given the options of Fast, Good, and Cheap, and told to pick any two. Here Fast refers to the time required to deliver the product, Good is the quality of the final product, and Cheap refers to the total cost of designing and building the product. This triangle reflects the fact that the three properties of a project are interrelated, and it is not possible to optimize all three – one will always suffer. In other words you have three options:
    • Design something quickly and to a high standard, but then it will not be cheap.
    • Design something quickly and cheaply, but it will not be of high quality.
    • Design something with high quality and cheaply, but it will take a relatively long time.
